Pavel Adikayev: "All Negative Remained In The Past, Next Only Good".

At age 33 Pavel Adikayev is one of the most prominent Moscow businessmen - developers. Behind the shoulders of Paul, a long and fruitful work in the construction giant Mirax Group, for which, according to some sources, Paul earned about a billion dollars, stood at the very beginning. After the onset of the mortgage crisis in 2008, as a result of disagreements with partners, Pavel decided to leave. And, according to the businessman, this decision was not simple and morally heavy, but there was no choice.

Three years later, Pavel Adikayev founded his own company Intensive Development Group (IDG), which successfully cooperates and represents the interests of the project German corporation OWPlan Group in Moscow. We met with Pavel at the Kutuzovsky office to talk a little about his plans for the future and receive some comments on the current situation around the Mirax Group.

- Hello Pavel. So the decision to leave MG in 2008 was right?

- Hello. I would not put the question this way. When the difficulties arose in 2008, the issue of personal profit was not in the first place. Everyone, including Sergei Polonsky and Roman Trotsenko, understood that it was a question of preserving the company. Let's just say, disagreements arose at the stage of finding a solution to the way out of the impasse. We had to pay off debts, finish the construction of objects, and we were between two fires: banks and customers.

- What was the subject of the dispute? Did you have different views on the situation?

- Yes, Polonsky, who was under the influence of the financial director Lutsenko, decided to settle with the banks first. I proposed to "unload" the situation by separating the parent company from its subsidiaries, since all loans and documentation were tied to it, including the largest one - in front of Credit Suisse. If this happened, we could continue to function as a full-fledged company, but would lose a large part of the business.

- And surely would not have left their customers?

- That's it. That's the whole point. I focused on customers, on a business decision to exit the situation, through the dynamics. First people, then banks. So, at us at least there were means on accounts and the kept reputation. You know, there were a lot of my friends among our clients, and I do not know how to look them in the eye.

- Sergei Polonsky then decided to pay off the banks, this was the final disagreement? Now, if I'm not mistaken, Mirax Group is bankrupt?

- Yes, I could not continue to stay with the company at this stage, it was obvious that the situation was at a dead end, a cardinal change of course was needed, but everything became as it was. Now MG seems to be really bankrupt. The total debt to creditors and customers is about $ 1.5 billion, and there is an endless series of legal proceedings.

- What is your share in business? You were also a shareholder of Mirax?

- My share of 3% is so, nothing. I sold it and left the shareholders. Much more funds have been tied up on my assets in other projects - this varies from 30% to 50% in different ways. And here I stayed absolutely with nothing. Polonsky did not pay anything. But, as I said, then personal gain was in the background, because I wholeheartedly believed that we would manage to get out. And now I hope for it, because you can not remain indifferent to what you spent 9 years of your life. I was one of those who stood at the origins of the company.

"Well, it's all in the past." Now you have your own business, your company. Please tell us about it.

- I now have a lot of experience, we can say that we experienced even stronger impressions. I decided - 36 years do not age to retire. We must continue to develop. Now my company Intensive Development Group provides intermediary services to the German OWPlan Group in the design of the Government House. In addition, I develop a network of three-star hotels in the center of Moscow, in which I will be a co-owner. In general, all the negative has remained in the past and for me, Pavel Adikayev is only good after that.

- How are your projects in Kiev?

- In Kiev, in addition to Mirax Plaza (46 floors) there is a project of a residential complex for 200 thousand square meters. M. But it's still difficult to say about these projects in the affirmative. I do not like to run ahead.
