Ovarian cystatenoma. Types and treatment

To date, there is a huge number of diseases that violate the calm and measured life of women. One of them can rightfully be cystadenoma of the ovary. What it is is not known to every person. In fact, the ovarian cystadenoma is, first of all, the real tumor of this organ of the reproductive system of the fairer sex. Most often, such a tumor is characterized by a fairly large formation, consisting of a capsule and epithelial lining. If we compare this disease with an ordinary ovarian cyst, in the first case the tumor has a much greater chance of escalating from benign to malignant.

Ovarian cystadenoma is divided into two types: mucinous and serous. Serous cystadenoma of the ovary is a formation, which in turn can be single-chambered or one-sided, for example. However, most often there is a so-called smooth-walled cystoma, as it is customary to call such a disease among specialists. As for the magnitude of cystadenoma in this case, it rarely exceeds thirty centimeters in diameter. But you will agree, this is quite enough to destroy the ovary. Ovarian cystadenoma consists predominantly of serous fluid. The capsule of such a tumor in most cases has a dense and fibrous structure.

Another type of ovarian cystadenoma is coarse cystoma. Its name speaks for itself. The fact is that such a tumor consists most often of a variety of formations or, as they are called scientists, plaques. All these plaques in turn are in a state of hyalinosis or very severe edema. These papillae cover the layer of epithelium from which the cyst of this type is lined.

The third type of cystadenoma is usually called papillary. Its difference from other ovarian tumors is that this kind of cystoma is a multi-chambered formation. Growth papillary type in it a huge amount. They permeate every chamber of cystadenoma almost completely. Experts argue that such a tumor in its appearance often resembles ordinary cauliflower. However, it is worth noting that there are also some formations that look like a warty body. Depending on the physiological characteristics of the body, the papillary ovarian cystadenoma may have a greater or lesser density. In this case, this factor is affected by calcareous formations. As for the size of this kind of cystoma, it is much smaller than the first or second kind. Inside the cystadenoma of the papillary species is a liquid of brown or light yellow color. In addition, papillary formations can be located not only inside the cystadenoma itself, but also outside, on the surface of the tumor. Each papilla in this cystadenoma is saturated with blood vessels and numerous cells. In addition to the above, it is worthwhile to clarify that the epithelium of these formations or the so-called papillae is more similar to the tubular epithelium.

If a cystadenoma of the ovary is found in a person, it will require compulsory treatment. It should be noted that the symptoms of such a disease are low back pain, fever and so on. Cystadenoma of the ovary is detected by ultrasound. Treatment is a mandatory surgical intervention and further recovery of the body with the help of special medications. The operation on the ovaries is not dangerous today. However, everything here depends on the stage of development of cystadenoma and its size.
