Ointment for wound healing

With any damage to the skin - an open wound, a purulent-septic wound, a crack - the body seeks to repair the affected cells. In order to help cope with this problem, you can use an ointment to heal wounds. With her help, they will heal faster and without complications.

In order to correctly start treatment of the wound, it is necessary to conduct a number of mandatory and very important actions. First, the wound must be decontaminated with hydrogen peroxide. She not only kills germs, but also brings to the surface the smallest rubbish. The second stage is the competent treatment of the wound with ointment. In this case, it is not necessary to apply ointment for wound healing in a thick layer - this wound will not get enough oxygen, which can lead to the reverse consequences - the situation will only worsen, the wound will begin to become wet and fester.

It is important to remember that at different stages of recovery it is best to apply various ointments, and sometimes it is worth using gels. The advantage of gels is that they do not have a fat base and the wound can be lubricated without fear that the medicine can soak through clothing.

An ointment for wound healing is not a new remedy. It was invented even more antiquity, when a person did not know any other ways to cure an ailment. In this case, ointments were used in various life situations, where necessary and where not. Gradually with the development of medicine for such a dosage form there was a worthy application.

What are the benefits of ointments? First of all, when properly applied to the affected surface, they create a protective film that softens the surface of the wound. At the same time, moderate moisturizing (moderate, not multilayer!) Contributes to the rapid tightening of the edges of the wound, which are not overdried. So the ointment for healing cracks is the first assistant!

If the wound fester, then apply the ointment carefully. Choose only those ointments that provide additional nutrition to tissues and promote their regeneration.

Consider several popular ointments that are used for a wide range of damage.

Panthenol is an excellent wound-healing product that contains a lot of vitamin B. This vitamin is an intermediate link in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. With the presence of this vitamin, the recovery processes take place more intensively. Panthenol is used to heal wounds of mechanical origin, burns, hypothermia, with diaper dermatitis in newborns, scratches and abrasions, with nipple fractures in women breastfeeding.

For purulent wounds successfully used Eplan - ointment, which heals wounds and a half times faster than conventional means. In microorganisms that multiply in postoperative and infected wounds, resistance to such drugs as Vishnevsky ointment, sea buckthorn oil, Solcoseryl, etc. has already been formed. The use of these long-known drugs does not allow to provide effective assistance to the patient with injury. A ointment for healing purulent wounds "Eplan" directly affects the formation of prothrombin, the process of blood clotting. In addition to these properties, Eplan has a bacteriostatic effect, which allows you to kill germs in the wound. It is best to use Eplan in the form of gauze impregnation after treatment of the wound with hydrogen peroxide.

Another effective drug is Actovegin. It favorably affects wounds, ulcers, pressure sores, burns and promotes their healing. Assign an ointment at the beginning of inflammatory processes in the wound, with lesions of the membranes after radiation therapy, in the case of trophic ulcers.

The above drugs are well tolerated by patients and do not have serious contraindications. However, when applying ointment for wound healing, it is always worthwhile to pay attention to the instruction, where it is indicated how often it is necessary to apply ointment, whether to impose bandages. With a competent approach to the treatment of wounds, such a dosage form will provide the necessary help for healing the affected surface.
