New technologies to guard credit card security
To protect customers, a new credit card was created, equipped with a digital display, which randomly generates a security code.
Innovative technology
At the moment, negotiations are already under way with British banks - perhaps soon protection will be available to consumers. Soon, the same cards will be used in France. Perhaps the new code will change the catastrophic security situation - counterfeit credit cards cost banks millions of dollars annually. It's amazing that the invention of a protective mechanism took so much time. The new card has a special level of security. At the back it is covered with an additional layer of plastic, in which there is a small screen that generates a new security code every hour. Provides a power screen with a narrow lithium battery, which should last for three years.
Features of such protection
The technology has existed long enough to be able to say that it really needs to be put into use. Of course, card manufacturers will require an additional infrastructure - so that the card number is constantly synchronized with the operator. Nevertheless, many banks are already using the increased complexity of protection, and entering another mechanism will not be a problem. The only downside - buyers will not be able to remember their security code, they will have to check the card every time they want to make a purchase on the Internet.
Fraud with cards
Several French banks are already preparing to launch a new system, there are plans for its use in Mexico and in Poland. According to the data, in the UK alone fraud with credit cards caused the loss of almost a billion pounds - more than twenty thousand people were affected. There are several ways in which scammers receive credit card information.
