Mysterious Roswell incident remains a mystery

Roswell incident was one of the most significant mysteries of the XX century and a favorite subject of admirers of all sorts of mysteries, conspiracy theories and alternative stories. At the same time, this event gave rise to a trend such as ufology - that is, a purposeful study of evidence of unidentified flying objects on Earth.

The Roswell incident of 1947

The immediate event occurred on the night of the second to third July, just before the celebration of the local Independence Day. Roswell is a very tiny settlement in the state of New Mexico, which even today numbers only a few tens of thousands of residents. On this night, local farmer Marc Brayzel witnessed a flash of light in the sky and a loud sound similar to a thunderclap. Since there was a thunderstorm before, he did not attach much importance to the event. However, in the morning, having left in the field to collect their fledged sheep, the man suddenly discovered strange fragments in a wasteland of unfamiliar material. The farmer told the local sheriff about his discovery. The public was thrilled. At the scene of the incident, very soon there were military men and journalists. The first collected remains from the crash of an unknown object, and the correspondents quickly made a sensation from the event, stories to the whole world about UFOs in Roswell. This version was confirmed also by some local residents, and even by the press officer of the US Air Force, Walter Hout. However, the next day, the military issued a refutation, explaining that in fact it was just a wreck of the weather balloon. The explanation of the official authorities looked quite logical, especially since journalists were allowed to look at these debris. They really turned out to be unremarkable. All the speculation about the alien origin of the device was written off for the natural human desire for sensation and the Roswell incident was gradually forgotten.

A new sensation

All would remain so, but already in the 1970s, suddenly new witnesses appeared that a flying saucer of extraterrestrial origin had crashed over the little town. This was first announced by Major Jesse Marcel in one of his interviews. He claimed that the wreckage presented to journalists in the forties was a fake. And that in fact there was indeed found an alien ship, the autopsy of which seized the bodies of humanoids. Throughout the state, witnesses began to appear in those years who claimed to have been silent for many years, but suddenly lost the strength to hide the truth. It was impossible to hide the alien invasion, because it had so many eyewitnesses! Oils in the fire of rumors poured a film by British filmmaker Ray Santilli, released in 1995. In it allegedly documented chronicles of an autopsy of an alien alien, which was discovered in a fallen plate. However, the film received a flurry of criticism for the obvious lies and falsifications that were noticeable to doctors (in the work of pathologists on video), and to operators. Project "Mogul"

In the middle of the nineties a version was voiced that the Roswell incident could have completely earthly, that is, espionage roots. In the second half of the 1940s, the Cold War began in the world and an active nuclear race was underway. The Soviet leadership during this period, within the framework of the program "Mogul", developed meteorological probes designed to monitor the nuclear tests of Americans on their territory. It was such an apparatus that could have been what eyewitnesses saw in the state of New Mexico.

Roswell incident remains a mystery

However, this explanation was not for everyone's taste, as the military's unusual interest in the events of 1947 was obvious. And many supporters of the ufological version are doubtful that such a stir could provoke a simple Soviet probe. After all, mutual surveillance was not a secret for governments. The next, and while the last, pepper to this secret was the will of Walter Hout, who died in 2005. The one who was the first of the military to tell the world about aliens in 1947. Now he stated that he really saw extraterrestrial beings then. Skepticism is attached to this will by the fact that Haut's daughter at that time worked in a museum of UFOs, open to tourists in Roswell. And, of course, he was quite interested in forcing a sensation. Whatever it was, everyone determines for himself, what to believe.
