Morality and morality in modern society

If you look at the "Great Encyclopaedic Dictionary", then we will see that there the definition of the words "morality" and "morality" mean one and the same thing. It is difficult to agree with this. Even in ancient antiquity, morality was understood as the elevation of man over oneself, it was an indicator of how a person is responsible for his behavior and actions. Morality is closely related to the character and temperament of a person, his mental qualities, his ability to moderation and the suppression of his egoism. Morality also presupposes certain norms and laws of behavior in society.

The concept of morality and morals, therefore, have different definitions. If the moral component can differ depending on time and place, the moral component depends on the person's personal worldviews. Moral principles are concepts and categories that are the basis for assessing convictions. Human morality depends on educating it on certain moral ideals.

Morality in modern society is built on the principles not to create obstacles for another person. That is, you can do whatever you want, but only until you cause damage to others. If, for example, you deceive another person and this harmed him, then it is immoral. And if it did not? Then it is not condemned. This is the moral of our behavior today.

The notions of "morality and morality" of tomorrow will go even further. Live, as you want, the main thing - do not poke yourself into other people's affairs and someone else's life, if you are not asked. Decide for yourself, not for others, and if you want to help someone, you first need to know from him, but do you need it? Perhaps your views about what is good and what is bad do not at all coincide. And remember: everyone has their own morals. Unite only a few general rules: do not touch a stranger, do not encroach on the life of another person, his freedom and property - everything is quite simple.

As though differentiating concepts morality and morals, it is possible to give such definitions. Morality can also be called the word "decency", that is, it is the sum of some norms of behavior and prejudices adopted in a given society. Morality is a deeper concept. A moral person can be called one that is wise, non-aggressive, does not want an evil person, sympathizes and empathizes with him, is ready to come to the aid of another. And if morality is more formal and reduces to certain permitted and forbidding actions, then morality is a more delicate and situational thing.

The main difference between the notions of "morality" and "morality" is that morality presupposes an assessment by society, neighbors, God, leadership, parents, and so on. While morality is such inner self-control, an internal evaluation of one's behavior, actions, thoughts and desires. It does not depend on external factors, it is a person's inner beliefs.

Morality depends on a social group (religious, national, social, etc.), which prescribes certain norms of behavior in this society, its prohibitions and regulations. All human actions are correlated with these codes. For the appropriate adherence to these laws, encouragement from society in the form of respect, fame, rewards and even material benefits is supposed. Therefore, moral norms are closely related to the charters of a certain group and depend on the place of their use and time.

Morality, in contrast to morality, has a more universal character. It is not aimed at achieving some kind of benefits and rewards, but for other people. A moral person sees in another person not himself, but his personality, he is able to see his problems, help and sympathize. In this cardinal difference of these concepts, and morality is most expressed in religion, where the love of neighbor is preached.

From all of the above, it becomes clear that the notion of morality and morality is a different thing and what they actually are different.
