Mirjalol Kasymov: biography of the football player

In Uzbek sports there are not so many stars known outside the country, but some names will go down in history forever. One of these aces, Mirjalol Kasymov, is a football player from God who has established himself not only as a great player on the field, but also as a professional coach. This person is loved in his homeland, they know in Russia and other countries on the territory of the former USSR.

The beginning of the way

On September 17, 1970, a boy was born in one of Tashkent's families. Mirzalol Kushakovich Kasymov called him. He defined his path as a child, engaged in football, and already at the age of 14, played in the junior national team of the Union.

Throughout the year - from 1985 to 1986, the Uzbek went to study in the higher school of football in Moscow. In 1987, Mirjanol managed to win the laurels of the European champion among the youth, and in 1994 he won the Asian Games.

In 1987, the gifted athlete played six games in the club of the 1st League Pakhtakor, and in 1988 his abilities were used in the Dynamo club of the city of Minsk. True, in Belarus the guy did not get accustomed, and soon returned to Pakhtakor.

Unlike many talented peers who exchanged sports for a more stable and pragmatic profession, Mirjalol Kasymov stayed in football and did not depart from him completely to this day.

Playing career and achievements

As part of the Tashkent "Pakhtakor" Kasymov spent about 190 games, scoring, no less, sixty-four goals. The time period of his cooperation with this club dates back to 1987-2003 with interruptions.

Naturally, the geography of the sports way of the master of football by one capital of Uzbekistan is not limited. He played for the Vladikavkaz "Spartak", and for the Samara club "Wings of the Soviets", and even for the team from the UAE "Al-Shabab."

After the end of his career, Kasymov did not go "to plant cabbage," and started coaching. His life without football, he did not represent.

Such successes did not go unnoticed, and in 2008, Mirdjalol Kasymov led the national team of Uzbekistan, and remained in office until 2013 with short breaks.

In 2012, he was named the best coach of the year. And the thirteenth year for both Kasymov and his charges became unsuccessful. The national team of Uzbekistan could not make it to the World Cup. After losing the match with Jordan, Mirjalol Kushakovich resigned, but the FFU did not satisfy her, and he stayed. He managed to retire only 2 years later - in 2015, but today he is often invited as a consultant, he is considered to be respected. From football, the athlete did not go far.

The fact that Mirdjalol Kasymov is popular in Uzbekistan is evidenced by many facts. One of the episodes was repeatedly exaggerated in the local media.

And the story was this: when returning from the airport, where the athlete saw off his colleagues, flying out for the next international competition, Kasymov met on his way the inspector of the traffic police. The policeman stopped Mirgalol's car, but after seeing the number 004 (always wearing a "quartet" on the footballer's shirts, that's why the car number was chosen that way), stretched out a string and gave the honor of a celebrity, instead of asking for his rights.
