Military discipline. Duty Officer Responsibilities

Military discipline consists in strict observance of all rules and orders, which are prescribed by the military regulations or orders of superiors. They are obligatory for execution by all personnel. Every serviceman must observe discipline and realize his duty to the Motherland.

To maintain internal order and control compliance with all rules and orders, a daily outfit is assigned . It consists of a company attendant and company orderlies. They monitor the internal order, guard personnel, equipment, weapons, premises and other property.

The duties of the duty officer on the company are stipulated in the statute by a separate item and consist in the strict implementation of all norms and rules. He can not leave the post without special order from the regiment on duty.

The duty officer in the company is obliged to raise all the personnel in the event of an alarm, notify all servicemen and obey the duty officer on the shelf until the arrival of the higher leadership. The day-to-day duties of the duty officer include control over the execution of the routine and the raising of personnel at a strictly fixed time. He must know the number of servicemen, their location (in dress, in hospital, arrested, dismissed or transferred to the headquarters). In addition, he must be aware of the number of weapons available and its consumption.

The duties of the duty officer on the company include the issue of weapons (only if there is an appropriate order of the company commander). In this case, records are made in the book, in which the facts of ammunition consumption are recorded. After the delivery of the weapon, the company attendant checks its equipment and its compliance with the service number. He must keep the keys to the premises with weapons and in no case transfer them to third parties.

In the event of emergencies, the duty officer of the company must take measures to eliminate the disturbances. Then he should report this to his superiors. The duty officer on the company is responsible for the safety and serviceability of the fire fighting system and fire fighting equipment. He monitors compliance with fire safety rules, and in case of fire provides for taking measures to eliminate it. If there is an appropriate order from the regiment on duty, he must close the doors of the barracks and stop access to outsiders without special permission from the superior.

The company officer on duty is subordinated first of all to the company's sergeant-major. The duties of the company's foreman are to ensure order, change the daily outfit and control the execution of orders. The duties of the duty officer on the company include the fulfillment of the orders of the company sergeant for the employment of personnel. He must ensure the construction of the unit at the set time and report this to the appropriate persons. Departing from the premises, the duty officer is obliged to transfer his powers to the orderly. The duties of the orderly on the company include the replacement of the duty officer for the time of his absence.

During the morning construction the duty officer on the company must report to the duty officer on the regiment about all the incidents. He should monitor the observance of sanitary standards, cleaning of premises, necessary lighting, heating, the availability of drinking water and the cleanliness of the assigned territory. The company attendant monitors the order during meals, applies to the dining room, respectively, the availability of personnel. He is obliged to report to higher authorities, as well as to inspecting persons in the form provided by the charter.

The orderly by the company obeys the duty officer. He is obliged to perform service on the post entrusted to him indoors, not to miss outsiders, to report to superiors about all incidents, to take measures to eliminate riots and extraordinary situations.
