Some caves represent an array consisting of several caves, for example, Tavdinsky (Taldin) caves of karst origin. In some of them, traces of the recent stay of people, possibly of the Old Believers, are found. The entrances to the most popular caves are equipped with wooden steps, and some even carried light. Once, near the caves, there was a village called Tavda or Talda, it has long been no longer on the map, but the name has remained.

Opposite the Tavdinsky caves on the other bank of the Katun River is the eponymous tourist complex. The base of the Tavdinsky caves is just one kilometer from the crystal clear artificial lake Biryuzovaya Katun. On the basis for tourists and holidaymakers there are comfortable houses, but if desired, you can break the tent on specially allocated green clearings not far from the shore. There is a winter building "Kremlin". The complex is located in a picturesque place where the natural landscape is preserved as much as possible - there are no asphalted paths and trimmed lawns. This place is ideal for families with small children, as well as for those who want to relax on the "wild" nature, to distract from business and city vanity, breathe the clean mountain air.

And although local residents have long been using water from sources for drinking and sanitation, the chemical composition of water in many springs has not yet been studied.

The most popular source is Arzhan-Suu, which in translation means the Holy Spring. It is located opposite the recreation center Tavdinsky caves. The water in the source is hydro-carbonate-calcium-magnesium with a large content of silver ions, hence the name Silver Key. Source Arzhan Suu is located directly at the Chuysk tract, so it is also called the Source of the Source. Next to the source is the cafe "Arzhan-Suu", known for the film "There is such a guy", which in 1964 was staged by Vasily Shukshin with the participation of the young Leonid Kuravlyov, who played the role of driver-mechanic.
