Lopaz plus - instructions for use

The medicine "Lozap plus" comes in the form of film-coated tablets, light yellow or pale color. Tablets have an oblong form and share risk on one side.

Composition

Active ingredients:

  • Hydrochlorothiazide - 12.5 mg (in 1 table);
  • Losartan - 50 mg (in 1 table)

Excipients:

  • Macrogol 6000;
  • Microcrystalline cellulose;
  • Mannitol;
  • Sodium crosparmellose;
  • Magnesium stearate;
  • Povidone;
  • Hypromellose;
  • talc;
  • dye;
  • Emulsion simethicone.

pharmachologic effect

Losartan is an antagonist of angiotensin 2 receptors, which does not inhibit kinase 2. The drug reduces OPSS, blood pressure, blood levels of aldosterone and adrenaline. In addition, the drug successfully has a diuretic effect and reduces afterload.

Losartan can prevent the development of a pathology such as myocardial hypertrophy, and also increase the resistance of patients who take this drug to heart failure.

Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to the group of thiazide diuretics. It reduces the reabsorption of sodium and increases the output of potassium, phosphate and bicarbonate in the urine.

Its maximum anti-hypertensive effect can reach in 3 weeks.

Indications

  • Arterial hypertension in the patient;
  • Reduction in the risk of CVD in patients with advanced left ventricular hypertrophy and hypertension

Side effects

Side effects of lopaz plus are described in the instruction on the basis of side effects of its main active substances - losartan and hydrochlorothiazide.

Side effects that affect the central nervous system

  • Dizziness (occurs often enough).

Side effects that provoke allergic reactions of the body:

  • Angioedema;
  • Edema of the larynx (and other parts of the upper respiratory tract);

  • Vasculitis;
  • Illness of Shenlaine-Genoch.

Side effects that affect the CAS (cardiovascular system):

Contraindications

  • Impaired renal and hepatic function;

  • pregnancy;
  • lactation.

If the patient's pregnancy occurred against the background of drug consumption, then it should be immediately canceled. The fact that lopaz plus directly affects the renin-angiotensin system, which can lead to fetal death in the last two trimester of pregnancy.

Tablets "Lopaz plus" is not recommended for pregnant women because the drug can cause jaundice in a newborn, as well as thrombocytopenia in the mother. Therapy, carried out with the help of diuretics, in this case will not help to avoid toxicosis.

Overdose

Symptoms of an overdose of the drug:

  • A decrease in blood pressure;
  • Bradycardia;
  • tachycardia;
  • Dehydration (due to increased diuresis).

Treatment of overdose with the drug must begin with a gastric lavage if the patient has taken lopaz plus relatively recently. After that, the patient is given symptomatic treatment, and in other cases - correction of water-electrolyte disorders. Hemodialysis can not remove both losartan and its metabolites.

Drug Interactions

Lozap plus potentiates the actions of other antihypertensive drugs, in case of their complex application. The drug can also cause potentiation of orthostatic hypotension, if it is used together with barbiturates.
