Katya Ogonek: biography of the queen of Russian chanson

Fans of Russian chanson know and love this performer very much. Katya Ogonek, whose biography is similar to the flash of a bright star, won hearts with sincere fulfillment, sincerity and touching manner. What a pity that too few years have measured her fate! How many more masterpieces could she give to a grateful public, if not for this fatal disease.

Birth of the singer

Katya Ogonek, whose photo is in this article, was born on May 17, 1977. She was also known as Masha Sha, but the real name of the queen of the Russian chanson is Penhasova Kristina Evgenievna. Her family was creative: Father Eugene Semenovich was a musician, worked for a while with the famous ensemble "Samotsvety." My mother was a housewife, but before her daughter was born she danced in the famous studio of Vir. The singer Katya Ogonek was born in a small town of Dzhubga of the Krasnodar Territory, but then the family moved to a permanent place of residence in Kislovodsk.

The beginning of a stellar career

Peers remember Katya as a clockwork girl, active, energetic. She studied at a regular school and simultaneously studied music, ballet and choreography. These skills are then useful to her on a big stage. In 1995, a talented girl was noticed by Vyacheslav Klimenkov, who invited her to his new project. Then a new sonorous surname of the singer appeared. Katya Ogonek, whose biography resembles a good fairy tale, in the same year began to perform on stage and won the contest of Russian chanson. After all, her velvety voice with a hoarse was ideal for this genre, and "pop music" was not interesting to her.

Katya's first album, which appeared in 1998, included compositions for the poems of Slava Klimenkov. His name was "White Taiga", and he enjoyed a tremendous popularity. A little later, she did not cooperate with the Lesopoval group for long, as well as with M. Sheleg and V. Chernyakov. However, the subsequent work did not bring her such a triumph as the debut. For all creative life the singer has released a dozen solo albums and an endless number of collections.

Personal life

Katya Ogonek, whose biography is beautiful and tragic at the same time, was not officially married. She had a civil husband - Levan Koyava, from whom in 2001 she gave birth to her daughter Valeria. They lived in Moscow, alternating long tours with a quiet and quiet life.

The tragic end of the singer's life

Anyone who listens to songs performed by Katie, I'm sure that she passed away too early. However, a terrible illness pulled her out of life, leaving the unfinished album "You are in my heart" and many other plans. She left this world on October 24, 2007 in the intensive care unit of one of the capital's clinics. Physicians will later name the cause of death - heart failure, but its forces were undermined by debilitating work without rest and normal conditions for life. Not sparing herself, Katya Ogonek, whose biography we discussed above, gave charity concerts, went to prisons, consoled the disadvantaged and stumbled, donated money to them.

She was only thirty when she left us. I left for another world, but not in oblivion. After all, her songs and still care about the listener, they are optimistic, subdued sincerity. The star was buried at the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery in Moscow. And to this day on her grave are living flowers her most devoted fans.
