Ivan Shakhnazarov: biography, films, director's work

The old saying that nature, as a rule, rests on the children of talented parents, regarding the main character of our article is completely inapplicable. Ivan Shakhnazarov, the son of Karen Shakhnazarov, the son of the most famous in the expanses of the former USSR, inherited the best genes from his parents. Despite his very young age, this young man is already known as a screenwriter, actor, director of dubbing. As well as his talented father, he has experience as a director.

This guy was born in Moscow in 1993 (to date, he turned 23). His mother is Daria Mayorova, a rather recognizable actress who had experience in filming in full-length films, and also she worked as a presenter on television. His father, the legendary Soviet and Russian director - Karen Shakhnazarov. From this marriage, the parents had two sons: Ivan and his brother, Vasily. It is clear that the family was creative. It is unlikely that Ivan Shakhnazarov, whose photo is presented in this article, could choose for himself a path far from the cinema.

After graduation, the future actor and director entered the corresponding department in VGIK. Being a fairly sincere and open young man, Ivan Shakhnazarov with a certain amount of self-irony says that his choice could not be different, since at school he did not study well and, except as an actor and director, did not imagine who else he could Become.

First played roles

Ivan Shakhnazarov, whose filmography has so far only a few films, has already managed to acquire his staff of dedicated fans. His first two episodic roles, Vanya played in his father's films. In 2008, he took part in filming the tape "The Vanished Empire." Then, 4 years later, in 2012 he starred in the film "Love in the USSR."

Serious film-making

In 2015, Ivan already had a full-fledged role in the Russian youth film "The Elusive". The young man says that when he received an offer to act in this tape, he doubted a bit, since Shakhnazarov, Jr. himself defines his acting abilities very mediocrely. But all the same, he decided to take part in the shooting on the recommendation of his father, who said that if such proposals are received by a person at the age of 21, then they should not be abandoned.

Producer of the film "The Elusive" Anastasia Hakobyan remembers that up to 250 applicants attempted to cast for Ivan. And only Shakhnazarov was able to work out all the tests to the end, and he did it completely independently, without any blat. Under the script, he got the image of modern Ostap Bender - a kind of buffoon buffoon. After the release of this tape on a wide screen in 2015, many really started talking about Shakhnazarov, Jr., as a very talented and very promising actor. Ivan himself in the future does not stake on the acting profession, and all his forces try to give direction.

Work as a writer and director's experience

While studying at VGIK, the young man was able to shoot his first short films as a student. In the period from 2010 to 2012 he made four short films, among which are films: "Author's method", "Without words", "Players" and "Rock".

The last film was shot as a thesis and had some success. Shakhnazarov, Jr., during the preparation of the film, appeared not only as a director, but also as a screenwriter. At the annual international festival held by VGIK, this film received prizes for the best camerawork and script. After that, in 2014, the work was exhibited at the annual prestigious film festival Kinotavr. Further, Ivan was able to present a picture in Cannes at the annual film festival as part of the Short Film Corner program. After that, the young man received a very advantageous offer to remove the already feature-length film based on his "Rock". The shooting is scheduled to begin this summer.

Ivan Shakhnazarov, whose personal life today worries many of his fans, behaves modestly enough. He is not a majeure, does not position his superiority, and in all interviews he is quite self-critical. Sometimes he is even inclined to easy self-irony.
