It can touch you too: the sensor on the phone does not work, what should I do?

Today's technologies allow the user to operate with maximum efficiency all the hardware and software capabilities of the device. However, sometimes there can be unforeseen malfunctions, often expressed in a situation where the sensor on the phone does not work. What to do and how to solve such a technical problem, we'll look at this information review.

Consequences that you did not expect ...

Before you start a more detailed study of the phone or another sensory device, in order to identify the cause of its inoperability, try to remember all the unfavorable moments of an operational nature, that is:

  • Did you drop the device on a hard surface. And it does not matter that after the impact the device worked properly. The main thing is to take this fact into account, since only now you have noticed that the sensor does not work. What to do, sometimes the consequences only appear after a while. But, knowing the reason, you will facilitate the process of troubleshooting.
  • Were there any water-related precedents: abundant rain irrigation, a spilled cup of coffee, often fogging the display (the result of using the phone in a cold environment, and then abrupt transition to a warm room).
  • Perhaps, you repeatedly squeezed the device, unconsciously and sometimes without even noticing it: a minibus, an electric train, a concert and other places of mass gathering of people.
  • Think about where you usually carry the phone and whether the used place is "too tight" (tight jeans clothes).

Now you probably know why the sensor on the phone does not work. What to do with all these disadvantages, you will learn from the next section of the article.

Visual Diagnostics

First of all, inspect your device for mechanical damage. Connectors and interface slots should not have traces of oxidation. The surface of the control panel should be perfectly clean, that is, no fatty stains. Often it is because of excessive contamination of the touchscreen that the sensor on the tablet or mobile device does not work. Deep scratches and chips on the surface of the glass (plastic) of the wheel are uniquely involved in the loss of the sensitive performance of your device. The reason for resorting to the replacement of the sensor module can be obvious traces of detachment of the components of the control system. This manifests itself in the form of dark areas of the touchscreen, and colorful divorces only serve as a confirming argument for the disability of the touch panel. However, sometimes the culprit of the situation "does not work sensor on the tablet" can be charging the device, more precisely, the simultaneous use of the gadget with the conjugate action of the power supply device.

Preparation for restoration works

Once you are convinced that the "evidence base" allows you to resort to resolute measures to eliminate the identified problems, and in particular to replace the touchscreen, you should, so to speak, tune properly to such a responsible "mission" ...

First of all, pay attention to the type of profile of the fixing screws, since a special tool is required for operation. You will also need an old Simka and a hairdryer. And, of course, a new touchscreen, which today can be bought on almost any touch device. It should be noted that in the Internet network you can see the process of disassembly and assembly of your model. You have only one thing: to apply in practice the solution of a difficult question under the conditional title "The sensor on the phone does not work, what should I do?" And, of course, on your diligence and careful actions depends the advantage of the result. In principle, there is nothing complicated in the process of changing the touchscreen.

note

  • Locking locks on the plastic body have the property of breaking, of course, because of incorrectly applied forces. Using simka, forward movements disconnect the case.
  • In no case do not take a break at the device!
  • Often, the ports, connectors and protruding parts must be freed from the body part at the very last moment of disconnection.
  • Especially worth noting is the "Multi-touch-reincarnation" of the phone from the Finnish manufacturer, which, for example, also does not work sensor. On Nokia the touchscreen is removed elementary. If not immediately (at the first stages of the dismantling), then, in any case, you do not have to "scatter the whole apparatus."
  • Be careful and do everything without sudden movements, since almost any device has many internal connections in the form of a variety of trains, which you need not tear, but neatly detached.
  • On the inner edges of the frame in the process of production, an adhesive base is applied to which the sensor is mounted. Your task is to warm up the touchscreen (do not burn and melt!) So that it can easily be removed.
  • The installation process is no less important: there should not be "extra" bolts, screws and other parts. We need to put everything in its place.

How to protect your device from innumerable factors of destructive quality?

  • The phone or tablet should be kept in a special case, which must be made of a fairly dense material (leather, dermatine or silicone). So you prevent the danger of mechanical damage: falling and scratching. What is important, this type of protection will protect the gadget from the harmful effects of cold in the winter.
  • Given the size of the device, you should always remember that it can slip out of your hands at the time of use. Therefore, it is advisable to equip the device with a special rubberized, silicone or plastic bumper. Of course, this does not always improve the aesthetics of the mobile device, but it certainly will protect the gadget at the time of the fall.
  • Finally, a variety of straps and chains, fixed on the phone's body, are guaranteed to protect your gadget from an unwanted impact on a hard surface. You will never lose your cell phone if it is "attached" to you.
  • And most importantly - wiping the control panel (touchscreen) with alcohol-containing substances, you will not escape the lamentable result: the sensor on the phone does not work. What if I see an unclear pollution on the screen? Use the ordinary polish. By the way, a drop of sunflower oil is capable of real miracles, it's important not to overdo it!

Finally

If the sensor does not work on your Samsung device, and the calibration of the touchscreen and the software update did not bring positive results ... And besides, you are still not 100% "guilty" of the control panel, you should contact the service center. Believe me, it will be much cheaper, because it is in Samsung that a very complex construction scheme of the assembly is implemented. Even the side controls are often tied to a loop. It is unrealistic to dismantle the touch panel and very often, in principle, as on the iPhone, "sandwich technology" is used, that is, the touch screen from the display without special equipment is not separated ... Be sensible and hone your knowledge!
