Information Economy

In the process of formation, the economy within the information society tries to use more resources. In particular, they include labor, freedom (regional, group, individual), capital, as well as relevant data (various information and knowledge, practical skills that are constantly updated). Labor and capital are related to production factors. Freedom and knowledge are considered necessary conditions for the effective application of these factors. Thus, the information economy is formed. It is the result of a transition from an industrial phase to a postindustrial phase.

Information economy as a sphere of knowledge can be considered as a meta-economy relative to branch branches of science. These branch disciplines are aimed at the effective application of technology, the formation of scientific knowledge and the means intended for their transfer. To realize these goals, the economic aspects of the material basis of information technology are studied. This field of knowledge manifests itself in a specific way in the study of data as a resource. The research is carried out within the framework of generalized consideration of information relations, when certain aspects are combined into a single object that functions in a market structure and state regulation.

The information economy performs various tasks. One of the main is the study of regular tendencies in the development of the sphere of electronic data, its functions in the process of formation and development of the technological structure of information. The information economy also carries out research on the factors and conditions under which the most effective performance of these functions is carried out.

The product of the study may be methodological, theoretical or practical conclusions or proposals reflecting possible options for increasing the efficiency of activities in the field of electronic data.

According to classical concepts, capital was considered in real form. It was a kind of aggregate of objects (raw materials, cars, buildings, lands, etc.), which, when labor is used, contribute to the formation of income (increase in profits). This definition is applicable to a society in which the degree of production development, measured by the potential release, is comparatively insignificant. At the same time, the main events take place in the sphere of production. Subsequently, a big role was played by money. In this connection, the capital began to be considered in monetary form, as a certain complex of money, with which you can hire employees or buy tools.

In the process of increasing the volume of application of new data and knowledge, the share of physical objects decreases. This increases the weight of intellectual property. As a result, the problem arises of protecting the rights of the latter.

Specialists note that it is impossible to provide absolute protection of intellectual property rights . However, this is not necessary, in their opinion. In this situation, the task is to establish some "optimum". On the one hand, it promotes the receipt of temporary superprofits, while guaranteeing the author's (individual) benefit from a useful innovation. On the other hand, this innovation will be widely disseminated in order to increase the overall economic, technological, social, cultural and political potential.

Moreover, when the money industry acquires innovative features, capital begins to act in a slightly different status. Economic information systems provide for the use of capital in a monetary form. In this case, he acquires a real form only for a time. Then it turns into information-money. The information used is a special knowledge and is considered in three statuses: as the professional knowledge of the worker and the entrepreneur, as a technological knowledge of the specialist, and also as the assumptions put forward by all stakeholders on the upcoming state of affairs.

Economic information system of this type provides that labor services are based not only on professional skills, but also on individual abilities and knowledge.
