How to take the exam - some tips

Trials and tests are waiting for us all my life. Without exaggeration, we can say that in the twenty-first century, the existence of a man of civilization becomes more complex. Tests, verification of readiness and knowledge begin with kindergarten. In order to never end. Let's remember your jitters before taking the exam - be it graduation or introductory ... But this was only the beginning. Next will be student sessions, a diploma, someone has a second, a third higher, a postgraduate, an MBA ... In many stages of a career it is necessary to pass an examination in a foreign language. How can we understand which behavioral tactics and training strategy to choose?

Of course, before you take the exam, you should determine the range of issues that will be affected. As a rule, even at final qualification tests at a university, the tasks are limited, and the amount of required knowledge is specified in advance. What you need to take exams upon admission, you can also find out ahead of time. In each university or academy, of course, its own rules and requirements, nevertheless, one can and must find out about the volume and formulation of questions and assignments, and purchase training manuals at least one year before admission.

No matter what the gossip and stories of experienced students tell us about how to pass an exam to one or another teacher, one must be ready for it. The best preparation is systematic and calm. For one night we will not turn a mountain and do not read fifty books. Competent teachers begin their course with a story about how to take an exam on this subject. Theoretically, surprises are excluded.

However, we should always remember that even knowing how to take the exam, and being ready for 100%, we are not immune from subjective moments. The author repeatedly had to see how prepared students fell through just because the teacher had a prejudiced attitude or a bad mood. In fact, we are all people and it is difficult to demand from the teacher absolute objectivity. Tests in the form of written or computer tests and aimed precisely at excluding the "human factor" and unfair evaluation. However, before taking the exam - oral or written - you need to tune in.

One of the most common tips is: do not let yourself sink. What does this mean in practice? Even if you are not ready for the whole volume of the material, you still know one, two, three or several themes thoroughly. And the art of how to take the exam is often to present knowledge in the most favorable light and to be able to hide ignorance. No matter how the question was formulated, if you are not sure of the answer, try to reach a topic that is familiar to you. Draw parallels, associations, compare.

Very often the psychological attitude of a confident student or student convinces the examiner. Conversely, demonstrating that you are at a dead end, in confusion, immediately causes a negative attitude. Speak as much as possible. Again, psychologically it works better than pulling "ticks" at least a word from a stubbornly silent student. Let the examiner say "thank you, enough", and not try to talk you through.

Still very important is a neat appearance. Stale clothes, crumpled appearance can not be explained by the fact that "he did not sleep all night, he taught." Before you take the exam, you just need to sleep and come fresh and clean. And do not overdo it with sedatives. They can have too much effect, and instead of being less nervous, you will simply lose control. And the most important rule: remember that any exam is not the end of the world, not an execution, not a fateful event, although often it seems so. This is just the result of a certain stage in obtaining knowledge. And by and large, it's far from the most important - life itself will suit you.
