How to properly design the interior of the "bedroom-living room"?

What is a combined room?

To date, not everyone has a spacious apartment. Therefore, in small apartments, the question often arises of creating in one room several functional zones. This is done in order to save space. Thus, in some apartments there are a combined kitchen with an entrance hall, a dressing room with a nursery and the like. In this article, we'll talk about a building solution, like a bedroom and a living room in one room. You will see a photo of this room just below.

Rational furniture arrangement

Of all the above-mentioned combined rooms, it is most difficult to equip the "bedroom-living room" interior. Some people do not particularly think about designing, arranging furniture in a standard way: one wall has chairs and a folding sofa, another one has a slide, a TV and a closet. At first glance it seems that everything is thought out correctly, but, you see, every day to fold and lay out their sleeper will not everyone want. And on a folding sofa to sleep is not very convenient. Therefore, we will discuss several options for designing a combined room "living room", the design of which will be not only beautiful, but also functional. The final choice is yours.

Interior "bedroom-living room". Option number 1 - a large bedroom and a mini-living room

If you have a medium-sized apartment, you can combine in one area a small living room and a full bedroom. But you need to abandon the huge closets and walls. So you can do in the case of a small living space, but there is one nuance: the sofa should be of the smallest size. There are cases when in small rooms it is necessary to refuse even the seats. But, despite this, in the end you will get a full bedroom, which will be most convenient and functional for its residents.

Interior "bedroom-living room". Option number 2 - combined rooms with a rational arrangement of zones

You can also implement another option. In this case, you will have two functional rooms in one. In this case, you need to divide it into two zones: one will be shared (for all members of the family) and the other private (only for you and your second half). The last zone is best placed near the window, since you will have the opportunity to create a truly cozy corner. Several factors are implied here. Firstly, such an interior "bedroom-living room" will always be lit in the daytime. Besides, not everyone will want to live in a windowless bedroom (it seems as if this is not a room, but an uncomfortable basement). Secondly, in the summer you can always ventilate your room.

How to correctly arrange the zones? Basic moments

The most important thing in the design of such a room is the creation of a separate bedroom. The living room should remain a living room, and the bedroom should not be like a communicating yard. To place it should be as far as possible from the entrance to the room and, as already noted above, always place it near the window. Finally, it is best to separate it with a light rack or special built-in structures. These rules will help you competently design the combined rooms.
