How to make a garden oven

One of the main attributes of a private house or an infield is a stove or barbecue. It makes recreation in nature more comfortable and cozy, and also gives the appearance of the site romanticism and a kind of harmony. It's always nice to sit in a good company near a device such as a garden stove, cooking your favorite dishes and drinking various drinks. Therefore, those owners of private houses and villas that have not yet built or purchased such a barbecue are interested in the question of its manufacture.

To begin with, you need to choose the place where the garden oven-barbecue will be located. It should not be near inflammable objects and structures. Also, several standing trees should be avoided, since smoke can adversely affect their development and even lead to drying. In this case, the space must be large enough that it can fully accommodate not only the oven, but also the woodpile.

Next, prepare the installation site. Since the usual garden oven-barbecue with its own hands is made of bricks, then the basis for it must be appropriate. It can be made of concrete, in the manner of the foundation, so that the future device has a reliable base, stable in any weather and season.

Further it is necessary to be defined in a material of manufacturing. Usually, for exterior works, facing brick is used. It has a good appearance and well tolerates various climatic conditions. All parts of the furnace, exposed to direct fire or high temperatures, are laid out of refractory bricks. At the same time, even if they use prefabricated units in the form of a furnace that can work as an independent garden furnace, they are still coated with special material that is resistant to burning.

Special attention should be given to the chimney. Since its improper installation can lead to poor operation of the entire device or to the smoke of the site. It is also necessary to take into account the fact that the garden oven is located practically on the street, which means it is necessary to protect it from the atmospheric precipitation. To do this, a small visor or roof is erected over the whole device, and a special "fungus" is installed on the chimney. It is worth taking care of the preservation of the stove for the winter period, and therefore, it is necessary to make special shutters and covers that will protect the furnace from soaking and excessive moisture.

Usually a garden oven works only in the warm season. Therefore, for its construction, it is best to use ready-made metal assemblies, since even the most high-quality refractory brick very poorly tolerates high humidity and frost. In addition, such conditions adversely affect the clay used in the manufacture of furnaces, so it is best to use special cement and fireproof sealants.

Some garden furnishings are decorated with decorative elements made of wrought iron. They must be treated with special primers and paint to avoid the formation of rust. This applies to all other metal elements of the furnace, except those that have direct contact with fire.
