How to draw Eternal Flame: step by step instructions

Our small artists have a difficult task. Today's topic of our lesson is how to draw the Eternal Flame. I must say that it's best to do it from nature. That is, you can go to the monument to the heroes-liberators in your city, if there is one, look at the Eternal Flame and then paint it. Thus, you will more accurately choose the most favorable angle, correctly transmit the lighting. In extreme cases, you can draw a sketch from life, and then complete the drawing of the house, focusing on the photo, which you will do on the spot. So, let's start the lesson "How to draw Eternal Fire with a pencil". But in the beginning, as usual, there is a bit of history.

Eternal memory to heroes

This constantly burning fire symbolizes our memory of an important event. Usually, it enters the memorial complex or is installed near the monument. Through the pipes to the burner is a continuous supply of gas (so it, as they say, "eternal"). The oldest Fire in Paris, near the Arc de Triomphe. He is at the memorial and reminds us of those killed in the First World War. It is lit since 1921.

And the first ever Eternal Flame was lit in Pervomaisk (Tula region) in 1955 in memory of the soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War. However, its burning ceased more than once, so it is one hundred percent "eternal" can not be called. But the lights on the Champs de Mars (Leningrad) and in Sevastopol really never stop their burning! Now, for example, only in Moscow do three whole Eternal lights burn . They exist also in many cities of the former Soviet Union as a memory of the dead soldiers, underground workers and partisans.

How to draw Eternal Flame: recommendations

But all the same we will start with you already to creative work! Below is a step-by-step instruction - just one way for those who want to draw Eternal Fire in stages. It is intended, basically, for those students who can not write from nature for various reasons. But still advice - find the image of the Eternal Flame, at least in a book or on a greeting card, to imagine his appearance!

Step-by-step instruction

We will need: a sheet of A4 paper for drawing, simple pencils of various softness, an eraser.

Step 1 . First of all, we determine the location of the drawing (its boundaries on a piece of paper). "Include in the frame" many objects are not recommended. It distracts your attention from the main - directly to the Eternal Flame. Look for a good perspective for the picture, the most interesting composite solution. Best of all, it will look at the top and slightly side, but in the center of the sheet! The main object should not touch the edges of the paper.

Step 2 . We need to calculate the proportions of objects. Then we draw a sketch - a sketch of the drawing. We check whether this or that line is correct by means of a sight. To do this, we stretch out our hand, in which the pencil is clamped and we set aside the dimensions of the sides of the depicted object. We will display this relation in the outline.

Step 3 . We continue the lesson "How to draw the Eternal Flame". In its essence, this is a geometric figure (in the form of a three - dimensional five-pointed star). Therefore, in order to draw it, we first show the rays. They seem to be on the plane of the square. Then we draw all the sides of our figure. From each angle we lift the perpendicular, which will be equal to the height of the building. Draw the lines parallel to the drawn silhouette. Then put the perpendicular out of the center. The rays that emanate from this point are connected to the highest points of the vertices of the resulting volumetric star.

Step 4 . We erase carefully unnecessary lines. Draw the details. Shading shadows and penumbraes - especially on the surface of the star!

Step 5 . And now the most important thing is the flame of the Eternal Flame! Let's make it slightly offset from the center of the picture. It's as if a fresh, gentle wind is blowing. Draw first large flames, then smaller ones, auxiliary ones. Shade and add additional shades.

So our drawing is ready. If desired, it can also be painted with colors or colored pencils. Now you also know how to draw Eternal Fire - a greeting card or congratulation to veterans for the holiday.
