Before making a French manicure, you should prepare your nails, giving them the necessary shape, and also remove the cuticle. You can apply a special layer to the nail with the first layer, protecting and leveling the nail, but this action is not obligatory. Then one or two layers of the base color are applied to the nails. A prerequisite for a carefully executed work is the complete drying of the substrate. If there is not enough lacquer to harden, then during subsequent manipulations, unwanted prints may remain on it. After the completion of the first stage, you can start applying a white lacquer. To make the edging smooth, stencil strips are glued to the nail, leaving the tips open. Depending on the length of the nail and the preferences of its hostess, the size of the open area is regulated. Applying a varnish, which, by the way, can be not just white, but, for example, pearly, it is necessary to make sure that the stencil strip is snug against the surface and does not move. Otherwise, there is a considerable probability of getting a curve, a spreading strip, which will at least upset, and also make you perform all actions repeatedly, taking up time. After complete drying of the white lacquer, you can remove the stencil. Before applying the coating, it is recommended to lubricate the hands with cream, since after the end of the manicure it usually appears necessary to remove the lacquer residues that have got on the skin around the nails. The cream will help make it much faster and easier. Naturally, this is not necessary. To get rid of surpluses it is possible and with the help moistened in a liquid for removal of a varnish of a wadding stick. The final step is the application of a fixing agent, which, in addition to its direct duty, will also give a glossy luster.

This requires only persistence and patience, and, of course, a great desire to achieve excellent results. You can dispense with stencils, using a thin special brush, which will be more convenient to draw lines. All other actions are identical to those that are performed when using blanks.

In modern fashion, the classic French manicure got some modifications. If earlier various deviations from the original were not welcomed, but now even on the contrary - have become almost mandatory.
