He went there to pick up his wife. The gods of Persephone and Hades were enchanted by his singing and agreed to give him Eurydice. But there was one condition that the singer had to fulfill. He could not look at Eurydice until he had brought her out of the realm of the dead. He violated the condition, and the wife did not return with him to the ground, he lost her forever.

D. Russos: biography

Greek singers of the 20th century were in the shadow of the owner of the unique voice of D. Russos. The full name of the artist is Artemios Venturis. Demis is a caress form. He was born in Egypt, in Alexandria. His mother was a dancer, she had Greek and Italian roots. My father was an engineer, but he played the guitar perfectly. When Demis was still a child, the family changed their place of residence - moved to Greece. D. Russos owned the game on several musical instruments - trumpet, organ, double bass and guitar.

The singer was married four times, had two children.

The legendary vocalist died just over a year ago - in January 2015.

The artist's career started with his participation in the group "Children of Aphrodite", which in 1963 was organized by the composer Vangelis. After 8 years, Demis decided to start a solo career and left the band. Soon everyone found out what a wonderful singer he was. Greek songs in his performance sounded in a special way due to a unique timbre - an unusual, tender, clean, like an electric tenor. Thanks to his unusual voice, the artist almost immediately conquered the Greek audience, and then ascended to the world Olympus. He wrote many songs for himself.

S.Rouvas: biography

Greek singer Ruvas Sakis was born on the island of Corfu. The full name of the artist is Anastasis. His father was a driver, and his mother worked in a cafe. He first came on stage at 10 years old. Ruvas again represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest. This time he took seventh place, than was disappointed, like his fans.
