Characteristics of the variety

Each grape variety has its own characteristics, which are measured in certain units. Here's how experts characterize the Anuta grapes.

Stability of the variety against diseases such as gray rot and oidium is estimated in the range of five to seven points, against mildew - in five points. He has excellent frost resistance. In the eye, his kidney is able to withstand the frost to -23 ° C. The pruning of the fruit-bearing vine is from eight to ten eyes and is considered long. The level of strain load by shoots ranges from 22 to 24 (the feeding area in this case is from 4 to 6 square meters), and the eye sockets from 30 to 35.

Grapes cultivation by cuttings

Of course, it's hard to grow grapes and take care of them. However, despite this, gardeners are happy to engage in such plantings and steadily receive excellent and abundant harvests. Grapes Anyuta can be planted in several ways: by means of layers, cuttings, grafts and seeds.

The most popular and simple method of reproduction is, of course, cuttings. It is necessary to harvest parts of an annual high-yielding vine during the pruning, before the plant is sheltered during the winter period. For this it is necessary to take the lower or middle parts of the shoots, on which there are well-formed eyes. After that, all the leaves and tops are removed from the cuttings. The billets need to be divided into several lengths of 30-40 centimeters long. Prepared cuttings should be protected from the harmful effects of the environment, especially mold. To do this, they should be kept for 2-3 hours in a 5% solution of vitriol of iron, and then tied in bundles. Store them in cool rooms (the temperature should not exceed 5 ° C). For better safety, all the bundles need to be wrapped (wet sackcloth is used), placed in a plastic bag and tightly tied.

At the end of winter (January-February) cuttings should be laid in coniferous wet sawdust. Approximately 21 days later, the first roots will appear. Then cuttings are planted in containers filled with a mixture of sand, compost and peat (in equal parts) and put on the window. The open ground is planted in May.
