Folder-folder. History of creation and prospects

Folder-folder - an indispensable attribute of any office. This simplest stationery serves to facilitate the imperceptible, at first glance, work of office clerks. The main purpose of this folder is short-term storage of documents.

On the desktop, any employee always has a lot of papers. Each of them is a document that contains certain information. It can be required at any time, and the employee must know exactly where to find it. To do this, all documents must be classified according to the main characteristics (type, purpose, terms of execution) and stored separately in accordance with them. It is for this purpose that the folder-folder is intended.

Invented this simple device in the 19th century, an ordinary German employee. The history of creation is extremely simple. The worker was terribly fed up with the situation when everything on the table is constantly falling apart. In order to find any specific document, you have to turn over a bunch of other, unnecessary papers. And then a wonderful thought occurred to him: "What if all the letters, forms, bills, contracts are placed in separate piles and fixed there with a special device?" This simple thought served as the impetus for creating the first folder with the simplest mechanism inside. The principle of action, like all ingenious, is simple. The device was a bracket, on which documents were "stringed" one after another. The paper was pressed against the paper. She had to hold the edge of the sheet. It had small clips that wrapped the edges of the bracket so that the documents seemed to be "sewn" to the folder. Clamps could be weakened at any time and get the right document. So, no one known clerk from Germany helped reorganize the work of clerical employees around the world. And the inventor himself, the folder-folder helped in the future. He was able to become the owner of his own company and move to live in the capital.

After a short while, the folders already lay on the tables of all office employees. Workers quickly realized their advantages:

1. Protection of documents against contamination and various types of mechanical damage.
2. Address storage of business papers.
3. Fast collection and retrieval of documents.

Such "miracle folders" began to be produced on an industrial scale. Over the years, the design of the clamping device, external design was improved, new types of materials appeared. Now the folder-binder meets all the requirements of office work.

Entire corporations are engaged in the production of this important stationery. Production classifies products according to the main features:

1. Material (cardboard, polyethylene or plastic).
2. Type of fastening device (plastic or metal bracket).
3. The principle of the fastening device (clamping or through).
4. Presence of perforation (allows to simplify archiving of documents).

A folder with a folder has found its use not only in offices. This thing is now in every house. Products from polyethylene with a transparent top of schoolboys use for writing abstracts.

A plastic folder with a clamp fastening helps students visually hold presentations in class. The principle of fastening served as a basis for creating new versions of albums for photographs.

Folder "Delo" is the simplest and cheapest way to store a small number of business papers. Its overall dimensions (222 x 308 mm) allow you to sew up to 200 sheets of ordinary documents and forms in files. The product is made of cardboard of various thicknesses and colors. It is quite light and compact. On the surface of the folder a special inscription is marked with a stencil, which clearly defines the places for filling. It has a lightweight fastening mechanism made of tin or stainless steel. The length of the antennae can be from 45 to 50 millimeters. Such copies are extremely convenient for storing operational information on a particular partner or business project.

Science does not stand still. Customers' requests are growing, and, probably, in the near future, designers will develop new models that will take into account all possible wishes.
