Exit From the Fuel Crisis - Gas Energy

Not only in Russia, but throughout the world, the question of the further development of the fuel and energy complex is now acute. The constantly increasing consumption of electricity and heat, the deterioration of the ecological situation and the depletion of oil reserves raise serious concerns among many developed countries. Governments are devoting huge funds to modernizing the fuel and energy sector and developing new technologies for extracting fuel from alternative sources. However, more and more experts are in favor of gas power engineering, and this has several reasons.

The main problem of renewable energy sources is the volatility in time in the process of energy production, as well as dependence on geographical and weather conditions. In addition, the technology of obtaining raw materials for modern solar modules provides for the use of chlorine chemistry, harmful to many living organisms. Also, many scientists believe that when using wind power, low-frequency vibrations are hazardous to health. Birds suffer from wind generators, and naval wind farms make their adjustments to navigational thinking of fish.

However, these problems are more of a technological nature. The biggest disadvantage of alternative energy is the high capital costs for such technologies. For example, the construction of windmills and solar panels is much more expensive than conventional power plants, and investments in alternative energy are paid off in a completely traditional way - at the expense of the end user, which is a significant problem. Developed countries, deprived of natural resources, can invest millions of euros in the development of wind energy or in other non-traditional ways of obtaining electricity, but for Russia, rich in minerals, the issues of gasification of regions and the transition to gas energy are more urgent.

By the way, the gas power industry was appreciated by developed countries. For example, in the USA from 2011 to 2012, 258 power stations operating on natural gas will be commissioned [1]. And according to Valery Golubev, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, at the 6th International Conference "Energy Dialogue: Russia-EU." Gas aspect ", the use of gas power to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Europe can be $ 500 billion cheaper by 2020 than the use of renewable energy sources. Many experts consider gas-fired power plant projects to be better for large investments and less risky than atomic projects or alternative energy projects.

Many companies are ready to offer "gas solutions", however, most innovative projects go to the table of local officials who, due to their conservative views and unwillingness to make any efforts to improve the situation, hamper the development of the fuel and energy complex. CJSC "Ralt Engineering" has long been offering solutions for the fuel and energy sector. For example, cogeneration and trigeneration plants, heat recovery systems for power plants, gas boiler houses, gas mini-CHP. Block-modular power plants produced by "Ralt Engineering" can provide electricity and heat to entire regions or large industrial enterprises at prices lower than tariffs for selling electricity to local companies providing housing and communal services. The heat recovery system, which can be equipped with power plants, selects heat from the engine cooling circuit and exhaust gases and transfers it to the consumer in the form of hot water supply. This will help solve the problem with the shutdown of water. Another proposal of the company - gas modular boiler houses, working on the system "switched on and forgot". Such boiler houses are quite easy to build and maintain, and they serve much longer than their stationary negative analogues. In addition, the packaging of power plants, transformer substations and boiler rooms into containers (block modules) manufactured by the company "Rolt Engineering" at its plant in Kolomna, increases their service life, since the module is not afraid of frosts (it can withstand temperatures up to -60 ˚ C), it corresponds to GOST and has an increased wear resistance due to the high quality of materials and performance.

However, the most serious problem of gas energy is the lack of infrastructure. According to ROSNEDR estimates, today we have 600 thousand km of gas networks, including high and low networks and 70% of the fields are not yet open. Such a huge infrastructure there is no one in the world. On the development of gas infrastructure, experts estimate that approximately 30 billion US dollars are required. This issue could be solved through public-private partnership and attracting investors. Today, oil companies that have accumulated sufficient funds to raise the oil industry, independent gas producers are ready to invest heavily in expanding the single gas transmission system of the Russian Federation. Here we are not talking about charity. The point is that we urgently need to determine the mechanism for compensating these investments, because today we have legislation that does not allow us to have private gas pipelines. Today, oil companies that have accumulated sufficient funds to raise the oil industry, independent gas producers are ready to invest significant funds in expanding the unified gas transportation system. It is necessary to determine the mechanism for compensating these investments and to develop a scheme for the development of the oil industry. The gasification program for the regions of the Russian Federation was the first step towards modernization of the fuel and energy complex, but there are still many problems that require urgent solutions through cooperation between the state and private companies. After all, gas power is the key to solving energy consumption problems and depleting fuel supplies.
