Every young mother thinks about when to teach a child to draw. In the fact that it is necessary to do, there is no doubt - any creative activity develops fine motor skills, imagination, perseverance, and therefore will contribute to the rapid development of the baby. But on the question of when a child should buy the first set for drawing, many mothers do not know the answer. The opinion of specialists is as follows: it is possible to start studying with a child from about 9-10 months.

Drawing kits can be found in any toy store, their range is huge: special magnetic boards, rugs, wax and ordinary pencils, crayons, markers and much more. And how to navigate among all this diversity? In fact, you need to take into account the age of the child - for a 12-13-year-old teenager it is quite possible to buy a set for drawing with oil paints, especially if he already attends an art school, but for a preschooler it is necessary to pick up something else.

Child from 1 to 3 years old

Children from one year to three already know perfectly well how to hold a pencil, and how to drive them on paper. True drawings are most often obtained from them in the form of dashes and curls and still do not look like houses or cars. At this age, it is difficult for small children to hold small items, so the drawing set should include fairly thick markers and pencils.

As an option, you can try finger paints - they are completely safe, so that if a child accidentally tastes them - it's okay. The only negative - the baby then will have to be washed off entirely, as during drawing, children grab themselves by the face and other parts of the body. Experienced mothers advise to conduct a session of creating "artistic masterpieces" with finger paints just before bathing.

Child from three to five

In this period, children begin to create on the paper quite meaningful pictures, so in the set for drawing you can include regular markers, pencils and coloring books. The latter help the child develop better, in addition, various puzzle pictures will be useful: labyrinths, connecting points with lines, etc. But when purchasing such colorings, you must make sure that the pictures in them are simple - small details can not be painted by children.

Child from five to ten years old

The recommendations given here are rather arbitrary. If you think that your child will cope with a more difficult task, then it is worth it to purchase a set for drawing, intended for children of the next age group. At this age, the child can buy almost all things for drawing: paints, brushes, stencils, pencils, Etc. For parents there comes an important period - it will be necessary to determine whether this occupation will remain a domestic hobby, or the child will start going to art school. At the same time, Mom and Dad should try to evaluate the creative potential without bias, since not all children have the talent for painting. And, of course, you need to take into account the child's opinion about this issue, but in no case do not force him. Drawing is a creative process, and no one else succeeded in creating it by order.
