Do sectarians, the whip, practice the ritual fatal sin?

Khlysty - the most mysterious sect of all, had any popularity in Russia. In the public conscience with her, along with other evils of apostates, traditionally associated with the fall of sin. This idea of whips can be false.

There was a sect in the XVII century, the founder of this rather strange religious trend was a certain Danila Filippovich, who declared that he was the earthly incarnation of God.

There are two main sect names - "christians" and "whips", they are consonant, each of them in its own way expresses the essence of Danila's teachings: since he could so call himself Savoaf, then others can compete with Jesus. One of the elements of worship is self-flagellation for the purpose of killing flesh.

Despite the fact that almost from the very beginning of the whips in the people there are persistent rumors about some erotic background of the ceremony of the nightly rites, the sin of sins is not their obligatory moment. The fact is that each community of this sect is an independent community called a ship, but there is no single center for this confession. Despite close attention from the authorities and law enforcement agencies of both the tsarist Russian Empire and the Soviet Union, there was no direct evidence of such a cheerful promiscuity.

The fact that the leadership of the sect can appoint a "wife in Christ" to one of its adherents may be true, but it is still a big question whether the new matrimonial status will make them happy with newly acquired spouses.

Life in most sects is regulated by fairly authoritarian orders, exceptions do not constitute whips. Sinful sin, also called sodomy, somehow does not fit into the general concept of suppression of carnal desires, in contrast to the castration, which is used by the most ardent devotees of this creed, separated in a separate direction. Most of the first skoptsov are the former whips.

Like any other false and heretical dogma, Khlysty was persecuted by the Orthodox Church and the Russian state. In some cases, the punishment was very severe - from exile to death. Sinful sin was also charged with guilt, although without the proper evidence base, which would have been required in modern political correct times. However, today for him and would not be judged - there is no corpus delicti.

Another distinctive aspect of Khlysty is the rejection of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and the consumption of meat. In addition to vegetarianism, the refusal of other gastronomic excesses is also professed. Asceticism in food is supplemented by a persistent rejection of any literature, the example is the "embodied Savoaf" Danil himself, who drowned all the books available to him in the Volga, claiming that they are not needed at all. It is unlikely that the whips, at least in the majority, have exchanged all the blessings of civilization for a sin.

Be that as it may, several communities belonging to this heretical creed still exist. They are found in the Caucasus, as well as in some areas of the country: Orenburg, Samara and Tambov. On the part of the police, they seem to have no complaints, but whether they are engaged in debauchery and dirty sin on "ships" is not known.
