Delete a Facebook account or deactivate it - how is it better?

A variety of gaming portals, thematic sites, forums and social networks - this is the unshakable foundation on which the current development of society rests. However, many people do not want to flaunt their lives, discuss photos and share their experiences online. Therefore, they are not registered in social networks, in particular, on Facebook. This rather small category of people does not want to be a part of the universal obsession with social networks and fiercely protects their personal lives from external encroachments. And how to delete a Facebook account for a person who is tired of the Internet, virtual friends and acquaintances who have no interest or are bored of discussing ridiculous, and sometimes even sad, photos and to know who is in what status?

There are two ways to do this. The first is the simplest. Thanks to him, you can partially delete your Facebook account. To do this, go to the settings page. It is necessary to click on the upper rightmost virtual button, called the "Account". Clicking on it, the user enters the context menu of his account. There, in the presented list, there is a line "Account settings". By clicking on it, the owner enters the general settings page. On the left side there is a list of tabs, after which you can change the page settings.

The interesting tab, which allows you to delete your Facebook account, is the second one. It is called "Security". Clicking on it, the account holder switches to editing the page security settings. Under all proposed settings is the button "Deactivate account." Facebook also wants to know the motivation that prompted the participant to stop using the page. Alternatively, you can come up with your own original reason. After specifying the motive and clicking the "Confirm" button, a person removes his account from this social network.

However, this deactivation process is not irreversible: if the user suddenly wants to return his old page, then it's easy to do - just send a request to the social network support.

If a person is driven by the desire to delete a Facebook account without the possibility of recovery, so that no information about it is saved on the Zuckerberg servers, the following steps need to be taken: "Visit the Help Center" / "Manage your account" / "Deactivating, deleting and saving accounts" / "Deleting accounts" / "How to delete my account permanently?". There is a description of the process, and to continue the removal procedure, you must follow the link that will redirect to the window with the required attributes. By clicking on the button "Delete my account", the user confirms that he agrees with irretrievable deletion of information.

Administrators of Facebook somewhat slow down the complete deletion of the page, since they give the last opportunity for the user to think about and not leave the ranks of supporters of this worldwide social network. Deleting an account is canceled if the user visits his page after sending the request. Therefore, it is worthwhile to think twice: is it worth it to delete an account on Facebook irrevocably or better simply to deactivate it, then not to bite your elbows about the lost important information.
