Decoding of the USSR. How is the abbreviation of the USSR deciphered?

The USSR was not just a country, but a whole power! The simple abbreviation concealed behind itself vast expanses, enormous strength of spirit, culture and unity of different peoples. The greatness and scale of the country was striking with its power and a sense of patriotism.

Prerequisites for creation

The chaos, devastation, discontent of the people, accumulated since the time of the first Russian revolution and backed by subsequent events (armed uprisings, self-denial of Nicholas II, World War I, Civil 1918-1922), demanded the creation of a unified state with its views, convictions, development program and Independent ideology. This time was made out by the head of the Bolshevik Party, VI Ulyanov-Lenin. Assessing the current situation, he competently starts promoting the party's ideas to the people, gradually leading people to understand that it is necessary to unite a number of republics in one system with their authorities, the general army, the fleet, the economy, and foreign policy. The prerequisites for this were more than significant. It was required:

  • Immediately restore, and then steadily develop the economic well-being lost during the wars.
  • In terms of foreign policy security, create an impressive, indivisible army and navy.
  • To unite the existing republics of Soviet power under the general idea of building socialism, and as its consequence, of communism on the whole Earth.

The correct tactics were chosen by the Bolsheviks - they carried their ideas to the people, introducing them under loud slogans: "Land to the peasants, factories to the workers!" Or "All power to the Soviets." As a result, their competently constructed work led to the formation of a single, powerful state called the USSR, the abbreviation of which we have to decipher.

Decoding of the USSR

After the end of the Civil War, several separate republics emerged, which adhere to one direction in the conduct of both domestic and foreign policy. Leading positions among them occupied the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR).

The decision to create a new unified union was not taken immediately. The length of the process was facilitated by the fact that it was nurtured in the face of an active polemic of two outstanding personalities: Stalin and Lenin. The plan of the first one presupposed the preservation of a single and main center for Russia with the possibility of creating within its framework of its autonomies other peoples. Ulyanov considered the matter somewhat differently. His main idea was based on the equality of all federations that make up the future union. As a result, the second version was officially adopted and approved. At the end of 1922, during the first Congress of Soviets, a historic event took place in Russia - the Treaty on the Formation of the USSR was signed .

The Union ...

What does the acronym of the USSR hide behind it? We will deal with this issue step-by-step. So, the first word is "union". Very capacious and short in structure, but so comprehensive and weighty in content. In many definitions, it implies the unification of something or someone at different levels and under a variety of ideas, goals. Speaking of the Soviet Union, he united the chain of individual republics, connected by history, the commonality of political, economic, and territorial interests.

In just four letters stand the happy years of life of different peoples and cultures. For some two decades, a worthy path has been passed from a country devastated by military operations, full of turmoil and ignorance, to an indestructible, powerful power with excellent chances of future development. And most importantly, it was an equal state owned by the people!

Soviet ...

The second concept, which includes the deciphering of the USSR, is the word "Soviet". In essence, this term does not have much to do with the Union, but rather with the people of the country as a whole. Indeed, it was thanks to his worldview, as well as the ideology that formed the minds of that society, that one could speak of a special Soviet psychology. And the republic, which populated such a people, is called Soviet.

We must admit that over time, a new definition has emerged - the country of the Soviets. Under such a kind phrase, people united that habitual and calm way of life that reigned in the Soviet states. Many representatives of the older generation still remember the pleasant moments of the Soviet period with a sweet smile on their faces: natural products without admixtures and additives, delicious ice cream, lemonade and juices, affordable and free housing, open borders, Soviet films and records, a carefree and safe childhood with A lot of games in the yard and much, much more.

Soviet civilization is a special philosophy, a peculiar view of the surrounding world and of human life in general.

Socialist ...

The interpretation of the USSR does not end here, we turn to the next term.

As mentioned earlier, one of the main points of the Bolshevik program was the building of communism on the whole Earth. And this social and political system is inextricably linked with the process of socialism. It is its lowest step and presupposes a social division of labor, the whole people's economy and the means of production, which are evenly used by all members of socialist society. This idea was sacredly believed, desperately fought for, persistently pursued and persevered.

Socialism was supposed to solve the problems that faced the man in those days to enable him to go further and systematically grow for the benefit of the USSR. And this could only be achieved in the society of the socially developed republics.

Republics

Initially, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, except Russia, or rather the RSFSR, included: the Ukrainian, Byelorussian and Transcaucasian republics. The latter, in turn, included the regions of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. In fact, the Russian Empire has not disappeared anywhere. The leading party of the Bolsheviks transformed it into a new form of statehood, which was called the "Soviet Union". In different years the composition of the Union has changed, more and more areas have joined it. At the time of their dissolution, there were fifteen. According to the Constitution, all of them were considered sovereign states, for which the right of free exit from the USSR remained at any time.

Along with the fifteen existing republics of the Union, it also included twenty autonomous Soviet socialist republics (ASSR), eight autonomous regions (AOs) and ten autonomous regions, and a number of separate regions and regions.

Modern Russia

As you know, everything is learned in comparison. And involuntarily, when it comes to the USSR, the majority begins to be puzzled to compare the period of the twentieth century with modern events. Well, everyone's right, but is it worth it? After all, no matter what the age, there will always be positive and negative traits in it. Another issue, of course, is that the number of them may be unequal.

You can not relate to modern society, at the same time, as it is not worth it. We can long and hard criticize, scold, condemn the current order of life, but it will not be easier for anyone, right? Therefore, we will not focus on negative thoughts and turn to positive experience. After all, as you know, every medal has two sides.

Perhaps the best moment that can be distinguished in modern Russia is the huge number of opportunities that we now have. And it concerns not only the open curtain, but also wide outlook among citizens at the expense of various and all accessible literature, and a more democratic approach in terms of organizing their lives. Today we have become much freer in our thoughts, dreams, goals and means of achieving them. We are not limited by the norms and principles of public morality, we do not obey the statutes written by an incomprehensible uncle. We are free, and therefore we live. Therefore, the abbreviation of the USSR, with the interpretation of which this article acquaints you, can be somewhat interpreted in accordance with the contemporary demands of the society. For example, the Union of Free Forces of Russia or Building Happy Destinies of Russia.

A country that did not exist?

Speaking about the Soviet Union, still more remember positive moments. It is not for nothing that the USSR was considered the most powerful country with developed agriculture, free and high-quality education, better healthcare, planned and growing economy, promising branches of light and mining industry. In the USSR, they did not know what unemployment was. People were confident in the future, not afraid to stay on the street, as the state provided all its citizens with free housing. But the main thing was that it was an independent, self-sufficient state, in which the principles of equality and brotherhood dominated. And nothing so unifies and does not temper the spirit, as a general idea. On which stood the Soviet society.

Decoding of the USSR - is it necessary now? To whom, why, for what? With confidence we will answer: it is necessary! It is simply necessary! As the air is pure, spring, piercing through and through each and every one, like the morning trills of birds, like the first snow glistening in the sun, as an invaluable experience of generations, it is necessary! Because there is no better example for humanity, which I want to equal. And there is no better time, which each of us remembers with pleasure. Even this couple of points should not raise such a question, let alone reasoning. Let the uncomplicated abbreviation of the USSR firmly settle in the heart of every citizen of modern Russian society and remain in his soul for many long years.
