Crusts on the head - how to get rid?

It often happens that the baby is healthy and cheerful, but once you find out the crusts on your head that are not clear from where. The main reason for their appearance is the increased secretion of the sebaceous glands. This can contribute to various factors: "wrong" cosmetic, lack of care, the child's propensity for allergies. Usually a crust on the head of a child appears on the crown (hence the name - parietal). But it also happens that they are in large numbers on the forehead. Yellow crusts do not give a normal growth of hair, unattractive in appearance and are mostly a symptom of an allergic reaction.

Of course, we must carefully take care of the baby's skin, bathe it daily, change caps more often. You do all this, and the crusts on the head of the baby do not pass? Consult with your doctor. But before this, still think, suddenly you have not considered several important points.

1) Do not constantly wrap up a child. The caps provoke new crusts on the head, because permanent sweating does not reflect the skin better. Do not worry, that the child will catch a cold, better work hardening.

2) Pay attention to the shampoo. It is bright color, has a strong smell? And maybe not at all designed for children? Do you know that flavors and dyes also cause crusts on the head, provoke skin irritation? Throw away such shampoos.

3) If the skin is too sensitive, the doctor may advise you not to wash your baby's head every day. The hairy part of the head can simply be overdone, and seborrheic dermatitis will be aggravated.

4) If from the first weeks you observe a rash on the face of the child and crusts on the head, it is likely that it is an allergy. In this case, unpleasant things can bother you longer. Even the introduction of complementary foods can provoke crusts on the head.

What to do?

The main goal is to soften the crusts. Try an hour before bathing to lubricate the child's head with a special baby oil (you can take olive oil), liquid petroleum jelly or salicylic ointment. The skin should soak well. Then put the baby on a soft cap. So the butter or ointment will not get in eyes, besides the cap will warm a skin. The crusts on the child's head will soften. Before bathing, massage the scalp with a soft brush (new toothbrushes will suit perfectly - naturally, they need to be disinfected and used only for this purpose).

When bathing the baby, use only baby shampoo. Household soap is also not suitable. Do not rub and injure the skin with nails. Take care that the product does not get into your eyes. The most important thing is thorough rinsing. You can not have oil or shampoo left on the skin.

After bathing, you should gently pat the skin with a soft towel (intended solely for the baby). Do not dry the skin near heat sources.

If the crust remains, carefully try combing them with a scallop. Then go through the hair with a soft brush for children - so the bulbs are stimulated and the hair grows.

What a comb should be is also an important point. It is better to choose a product with blunt teeth and abandon the synthetic components. Do not be afraid to touch the area of the fontanel - it, if you are careful, will not suffer.

Of course, do not get involved too. Do not seek to rid the child of crusts for 1-2 times. Traumatizing the skin and scraping the crusts intensively, you can damage the tender cover and infect the infection. Then it is necessary to treat it.

Medications are appointed in the last place, so do not cling to them immediately. Try the above procedures and follow the hygiene of the baby. The main thing in this matter is the regularity of manipulations (it is better to do them every day). Then the baby will get rid of crusts, and you - from unnecessary excitement. Be healthy!
