Costumes with their own hands - cheap and angry!

Few believe that creating children's costumes with their own hands at home is not only possible, but also quite simple. But, in fact, today you can make impressive carnival costumes with your own hands, without making a lot of effort and not spending almost any money.

The first thing that should not be forgotten is the fact that in order for the character to "come to life" and become convincing, the costumes created with their own hands should be selected taking into account the nature and natural data of the person who will wear these costumes. A very important point is the ability of a person to enter a role, that is, his ability to feel himself as the character he portrays. It is necessary to take into account the age features, for example, the costumes of animals and birds, as well as flowers, will not look very appropriate for middle-aged and even more senior school children. Among other things, fancy dresses should be vivid, colorful and expressive in form. Before you start making New Year costumes with your own hands, you need to accurately imagine the image of the character that should be obtained as a result. In other words, it is necessary to highlight the most characteristic features and try to strengthen, even exaggerate them. For example, the witch's nose needs to be made much larger than the natural one, and the handkerchief must be pulled over the eyes, etc., etc. - fantasy, if you want to make suits yourself, perhaps the best assistant.

To facilitate the task of inventing a costume, you can use reproductions of paintings, illustrations, drawings and caricatures. Costume manufacturing begins with the preparation of patterns. In the case when there are patterns of patterns, you need to increase them - this will help the grid or graph paper. If the pattern is missing, and only the image of the finished product is available, it is necessary to find a pattern suitable for the shape, and make a base, and adjust the size already when fitting. To translate the patterns onto the material, copy paper is used, which is superimposed on the material, the pattern is placed on top, then the pattern is drawn using a hard pencil. For the manufacture of costumes, the most diverse materials that can be found in every home are suitable. It is only necessary that the materials used in the work, by their character, that is, by density or, conversely, by lightness, color and pattern, correspond to the intended side. Also, materials that well imitate natural ones - for example, animal hair, petals of flowers, etc. - will be needed. You can use anything: clothes, ski suits, as well as rags of cloth and much more.

Cardboard is very suitable for manufacturing volume and planar shapes. From the cardboard are produced individual parts for the pattern, which are then to be glued together. To make the connection practical and durable, one of the glued parts cuts the teeth or strips at the junction, which are then bent. Do not forget that when carrying out the gluing of individual parts of the costume, the teeth must be placed inside the manufactured part.

To decorate the costumes made with their own hands, many seemingly useless materials are used, for example, with colored braid, wool threads, ribbons and scraps of fabrics, corrugated paper, Christmas crochet, gum, glass beads and buttons, pieces of stanioli and t .P. With these materials, you can achieve different effects. For example, embroidery is perfectly imitated with colored braid or wool embroidered with a pattern; Bows frills, ruffles and flowers are easy to make from corrugated paper, and precious stones can be easily replaced with glass beads and buttons.
