Investments are material, financial, labor and other resources directed to increase of capital, expansion, technical re-equipment and modernization and development of production. The main goal - the placement of capital in such a way that not only do not lose it, but also multiply. Investment activity is a process of assessing the prospects, attraction, distribution and use of investments. Its goals are different and include expansion of entrepreneurial activity through the accumulation of material and financial resources, the acquisition of enterprises, diversification in the supply of development of previously unexplored areas of business, reducing circulation costs, increasing production and so on.

Investment and investment activities have an important role in the modern economy. They are without a doubt simply necessary for the stable development of the economy of any country, ensuring sustainable growth of the economy. Investment activity is extremely significant, as it creates the basis for stable development of the economy as a whole, for the growth of its individual branches and economic entities. Any property, as well as property rights, are transformed into investments if their owner or user invests them in some subject with the aim of making a profit and achieving a beneficial effect, that is, he makes investment activity. The active process of attracting investments predetermines the overall economic potential of the country, ensures the improvement of the living standards of the population. The economic activity of individual economic entities depends to a large extent on the volume and forms of investments they make and in relation to them.

Investment activity is one of the most used economic concepts, especially if the economy is in the process of reforming or experiencing a rapid rise. The term "investment" means long-term investment of financial capital in the economy. Investment activity in the Russian Federation has several directions: structural transformations in the country;

Investment activity is carried out both by financial capital: banks, insurance companies, various funds, and non-financial: industrial enterprises, oil and gas producers and others.

Each of us can also become an investor. To do this, it is enough to make a contribution to the bank, and in a year to take the profit. At the same time, as you know, more profitable investments are always more risky than less profitable ones. That is why many people do not want to deal with such things at all. Ultimately, everything depends on financial literacy - the higher it is, the more effective the investment activity. Yes, and investments in the banking sector are also becoming more attractive, because the security of most of the bank deposits is provided by the state.

Therefore, it is enough just not to succumb to the deception of all sorts of swindlers and financial pyramids, and one can say that investments are the best way to store personal funds.
