Coaxial acoustics - is this the right choice?

New cars are often equipped with fairly simple acoustic systems. They do not give a deep bass, nor pure high frequencies. Of course, for listening to the news, such dynamics will suit, but in real music lovers such acoustic systems will cause real disgust, because you will not hear normal music in them. It is quite another matter to acquire a normal acoustic system. In this case, you need to choose one of two options: component or coaxial acoustics.

Some become adherents of coaxial acoustic systems. Such all-weather acoustics consists of several speakers, each of which reproduces sounds of a strictly defined frequency. By frequencies, sounds are separated by special filters - crossover. They recognize the frequency of the signal and transmit it to a certain speaker. Sometimes, mainly in more expensive models of stereo systems, crossovers are made in a separate case, which protects sounds from unintentional mixing.

For correct sounding, it is necessary to correctly approach the selection of filter materials. Thanks to filters, coaxial acoustics reproduces a wider frequency range than broadband . Often, such acoustics are also placed on special podiums, which greatly improves the sound quality.

Another kind of acoustic system, more widely spread among real motorists-music lovers - is component acoustics. Like coaxial acoustics, it has become widespread. The principle of its device is very similar to the device of coaxial acoustics, but there is one small difference. If in the previous speaker system the dynamics of all three groups of frequencies are located in the same housing, then in the component system the low-frequency, mid-frequency and high-frequency speakers are separated from each other. Consequently, the motorist gets three separate dynamics, which are best placed near each other. In this case, a good musical picture is obtained, which will satisfy even the most audible listener.

There are several basic tips that are important when choosing any system of coaxial acoustics. First, the main thing is to choose the speakers by their sound, and not by their appearance. Of course, the design of the speakers should be appropriate to the interior design of the car, but it's not as important as the right sound. Secondly, remember that the crossovers of the speakers are the main working part. The degree of separation of sound depends on the number of elements of the filter, because the more they are, the better the sound. Third, regardless of the type of speaker system (component or coaxial acoustics), it is desirable to use them with an external amplifier. In this case, the sound will be better. If the speaker system is connected to a car stereo or other head unit, pay attention to the sensitivity of the speaker, since it will determine the maximum volume of the sound from it. The recommended sensitivity is from 92 decibels.
