Closed form of tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease, the source of which is a stick of Koch. When infection with tuberculosis bacteria most often suffer from bronchi and lungs. There are cases when the infection is transmitted to other organs: joints, bones, organs of the genitourinary system, lymphs, eyes.

Classification: At the stage of development, the disease is classified as an open and closed form of tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis of the open form is determined by the presence of germs of pathogens in the sputum of the patient, which are released into the environment with saliva during coughing, sneezing or expectoration and serve as a source of contamination of others. This form is also called BK + (Koch's bacillus) or TB + (tubercle bacillus). This means that when a microscopic analysis of the patient's sputum was found, the bacteria of the pathogens.

The closed form of tuberculosis means that the infected person does not release pathogenic microbes into the surrounding area and is not a source of infection for others. In medicine, this form is designated as the equivalent of BK - or TB -.

In closed form, the infection is inside the focus, it is inactive, the process of cell destruction proceeds slowly. Infection from time to time is activated, then subsides, that is, it has a half-asleep effect. Despite this, the disease is chronic.

Stages of development: The closed form of tuberculosis, like the open one, is primary and secondary at the stage of its development. This division is of very important clinical significance.

The primary stage is when the pathogenic bacteria only enter the human body. Most often, bacteria affect the tissues of the respiratory system or lymph. When the foci are healed, they form seals.

The secondary stage is when the infection enters the patient's blood, forming multiple lesions. The probability of infection with tuberculosis, like its stages, depends on the main factor in the human body - from its immune system.

Sources and routes of infection: The source of infection infection are patients with an open form of tuberculosis, objects used by patients, infected animals, products from infected animals.

Infection with tuberculosis is most often done by getting the infection through the respiratory system, quite rarely - through the digestive tract (when ingesting animal origin), mucous membranes and damaged skin.

Closed form of tuberculosis - symptoms:

Pain in breathing;

- accumulation of fluid in the lungs (tuberculous pleurisy) ;

- slight increase in temperature;

- a constant sense of weakness.

The closed form of tuberculosis in the primary stage usually passes unnoticed, and the infected person may not suspect of its presence until several months. Even with the manifestation of the initial signs, not all patients pay attention to it in time, which subsequently leads to problems with treatment.

Treatment: The entire treatment phase can be divided into two phases: the intensive care phase and the supportive treatment phase.

Tuberculosis bacteria have no sensitivity to conventional antibiotics. At the initial stage, preparations of Isoniazid, Rifampicin, Pyrazinamide, Etambutol are prescribed. In the second stage - Isoniazid + Rifampicin or Isoniazid + Etambutol.

Prevention of tuberculosis by folk remedies: The main prevention of tuberculosis is the maintenance of immunity. To do this, include the following useful foods in the diet: onion and garlic, green tea, kiwi and citrus fruits, sour-milk products, seafood and fish, fresh vegetables, herbs, spices, cereals.

A good preventive maintenance will be daily walks in the fresh air, playing sports and refusing bad habits. Once a year, in order to prevent and timely detect the disease, it is necessary to undergo a fluorography.
