Christmas movies - an integral part of the holiday

It is customary to meet Christmas in the whole world with family. This is the most joyful holiday in the year, symbolizing the coming to the world of good and justice, uniting the family and inspiring a special festive spirit in the souls of people. Everyone is smiling and giving presents. Strangers congratulate each other on the streets, and the heads of state congratulate the peoples of their countries from the TV screens!

During the winter holidays, all television channels tend to show films in which the story, in one way or another, relates to Christmas or New Year. Christmas movies differ from all the others in that the action in them is built according to the traditional scheme inherited from the literary genre - the Christmas story. The space in the film, like in the story, has three levels: heaven - earth - hell, and the hero during the story, passing these steps of the universe, miraculously changes.

Christmas movies always have a traditionally happy and happy ending. Good is always triumphant in him, and the dark forces are vanquished. Although at the beginning of the picture the protagonist can not get out of the spiritual or material crisis, and often both at once. To overcome them, you need a miracle. It is realized not only at the expense of the help of higher forces, there can be just a happy coincidence or a lucky chance, but with a hint of a sign from above.

The film "Fanny och Alexander" / "Fanny and Alexander" is included in the Christmas films since 1982. The picture of the ingenious Ingmar Bergman begins with the celebration of Christmas in the large and elegant theater house of the family Ecdal.

Only the crisis is hidden deep in the soul of the hero, Jack Campbell. Sticking to the plot was an accidental conflict in the supermarket, during which Jack, pleased with his fate and career broker, admitted that he had received everything he wanted from life. And right away, literally the next morning, he finds himself not in his chic bachelor house, but in the arms of Kate, his ex-girlfriend, whom he left in the interests of his career a few years ago. But in this new reality Jack is Kate's husband, they have two children, and he works in the store as a seller of car tires.

At first Jack is terrified of such changes, but gradually realizes that it was the family, the sincere relationship with a close person that he did not have. Elements of magic in this Christmas lyric comedy are very organic and do not make the story told in the film less real. They are, rather, bright festive accents, giving reality a charm.
