Catherine Elizabeth McGrath was born on January 3, 1983 in the Irish village of Ashford (sometimes called Ashford). Father, Paul McGrath, worked as a system administrator, and his mother, Lanie Mary McGrath, was a design assistant. The family has three children, Catherine has two older brothers - Rory and Sean. Rory subsequently became a producer of post-production, and Sean works as a manager.
