Bentley Bentayga - legendary SUV with a luxurious interior

SUV Bentley Bentayga - the first in the history of the company "Bentley" truly luxurious, powerful, high-speed car of the executive class. The car was shown to the public in 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The original version of the Bentley EXP 9 F was introduced in 2012 in Geneva, but the extravagant exterior of the concept car alerted potential buyers, and the signing of contracts was postponed.

Update

The design of the crossover was decided to be reworked. Upgrading the car took a year and a half and only in the spring of 2014 in the magazines there were photos of Bentley Bentayga. The car was named after the famous rock Bentayga, located on the island of Gran Canaria, which is part of the well-known resort archipelago.

Appearance Bentley Bentayga has become a classic embodiment of the exterior of the best models of "Bentley". The front end is decorated with a traditional radiator grille. This elegant body detail is a fine-meshed interlacing of thin steel elements arranged diagonally. In the lower part of the front end, two small air intakes are integrated into a small cage. And across the entire width of the front bumper is another such grille as the last stroke of design creativity.

The front part of the Bentley Bentayga is complemented by the elements of the head optics. The headlights have a round shape, the inner sphere of the deflector is shifted upwards, which creates the impression of a complex geometric figure. At some distance from them are turn signals, organically built into the front wings.

High style

The new Bentley Bentayga features 22-inch wheels, muscular and at the same time graceful arches. The rear lights are rectangular in coral form and include large Latin letters "B".

Interior

Crossover Bentley Bentayga had a two-seater saloon, at the choice of the buyer, seats were set for four people, including the driver, or in other places there were five. The internal space allowed to comfortably accommodate up to seven people, but this option was immediately rejected as unnecessary: "Bentley" is not a minivan, and in the car there are usually three or four people, no more.

For Bentley Bentayga, whose salon can serve as an example of luxury, did not spare expensive materials. The upholstery of the armchairs was offered only from natural leather of kidney varieties of 15 shades. Such a wide range of colors was primarily aimed at the female audience, the customers carefully monitored the matching of the body color and interior decoration of the car.

In the interior of Bentley Bentayga a lot of natural wood of noble sorts. The most expensive wood, rosewood, is used for interior finishing of a stylish off-road car, in the course of time there are also Karelian birch and some sorts of African mahogany, such as kevazingo and makore. With polished wood panels, chrome-plated moldings coexist along the perimeter of the cabin.

The motor is equipped with a special regulator, which turns off half of all cylinders when driving an empty car in normal road conditions in order to save fuel.

The transmission is an eight-speed automatic transmission of the ZF brand, combined with the Torsen differential.

Chassis

The basic model is equipped with air suspension, which, depending on the traffic situation, changes the clearance in the range of 120 millimeters. The option is activated if necessary on all four wheels at once. To disconnect lifting pneumatic mechanisms it is possible the special switch located on the central console.

• Front suspension - independent, multi-link, with hydraulic shock absorbers of double action;
• Rear suspension - multi-link, pendulum short-stroke, with hydraulic shock absorbers and a hinge beam transverse stability;
• Brakes - ventilated discs on all wheels, pressure system is diagonal, two-circuit.

The running gear of the machine is controlled by an effective mode change system in the following set:

• Standard options "Bentley" - Sport and Comfort (sports and comfort);
• Special mode - Snow and Grass (snow and wet grass);
• Special mode - Gravel and Dirt (gravel and dirt);
• Mode of motion - Mud and Trail (slushy mass and deep gauge);
• Special mode - Sand Dunes (deep sand).

Orders

Currently, the company "Bentley" has launched a serial release of the model "Bentayga." One of the cars has already been sent to the Queen Elizabeth II. Orders total 3620 taken for the current year. The cost of the car ranges from 160 to 355 thousand pounds sterling, depending on the configuration. The outlook for car production is good. "Bentaiga" will be produced only under the order, the car does not need dealers, trade margins and discounts, hangars for storage. The manufacturer should only provide a maintenance network.
