But for any Ural hockey fan above the rest will be the surname of Belousov Valery Konstantinovich, the famous specialist, whose name is associated with the most significant victory of Metallurg from Magnitogorsk and Tractor from Chelyabinsk.

Valery Belousov (date of birth: December 17, 1948, date of death: April 16, 2015).

Belousov Valery Konstantinovich was born in Novouralsk (Sverdlovsk region). Known in the Soviet Union hockey player, right-wing forward and Russian coach.

He has an honorary title of master of sports of international class, which he received in 1976. In 1992 he was recognized as Honored Coach of Russia.

"Magnitogorsk" (both fans and locals call the team and the plant that it represents) three years in a row was among the leaders, but did not succeed in earning a raise in the classroom.

However, with the arrival of Belousov, the game of the Magnitogorsk squad changed markedly, and the team fulfilled its cherished goal.

After completing his career and focusing on the work of the coach, Valery Belousov entered the Higher School of Hockey Coaches, which he successfully graduated from and returned to the Chelyabinsk "Tractor". Under his leadership, the team twice managed to win bronze medals of the national championship. It was an unprecedented success of local hockey.

In 1995, Belousov again moved to Magnitogorsk, where he took the post of assistant head coach of "Magnitogorsk" Valery Postnikov. The following year Belousov himself was confirmed as the head coach of Metallurg. During the time spent at the helm of the club, the mentor twice brought the Urals to the title of Russian champions, twice with his hockey players won the main club trophy of the Old World - the Euroleague - and once again won in the finals of the European Super Cup and the Cup of Russia.

Valery Konstantinovich Belousov in the course of his career has repeatedly returned from one team to another. A new advent in "Tractor" happened in 2003. Working with Jagr

The following year, a lockout was announced in the National Hockey League (NHL). Leading stars of the world hockey in search of employment rushed to Europe. This is how the legendary Czech striker Jaromir Jagr was in Omsk.

Together with the famous player "Avangard", led by Valery Konstantinovich Belousov, he won in the Cup of European champions, whose matches were hosted by St. Petersburg.

And in the national championship this year, there was a repetition of the confrontation between Omsk and Magnitogorsk. "Vanguard" again "burned" in the 0: 2 series, but in the decisive match he won on the opponent's place in Magnitogorsk.

In the spring of 2007, the "Hawks" reached the semifinals, where they lost to the eternal rivals of the last few years from the city of Magnitogorsk, who in the final in five meetings took over Ak Bars.

The death of Belousov

Belousov Valery Konstantinovich died last spring, April 16, 2015.

On the day of the funeral of Valery Belousov, April 21, 2015, in a car crash, his friend and colleague Sergei Mikhalev died , who was returning from a Belousov's funeral on a car.
