BB food and its classification

Meals are an important part of the rest, so check the offers and the options of your chosen hotel before the trip. BB (bed @ breakfast) means that you will only be provided with a breakfast with soft drinks. This type of food is always offered for the duration of business trips or excursions. But you can choose BB food in other hotels, except those that work on the principle of "All Inclusive". This choice is justified in those regions where the restaurant business is developed or in those where lunch and dinner outside the hotel are much cheaper.

The hotels offer different types of breakfasts, differing in the choice of food and drinks. It depends on the country, the hotel's star rating, and also whether it belongs to the BB Hotel or to another category.

Continental breakfast originally appeared in Europe and the Mediterranean countries. Now it is adopted in hotels that are part of the international network, regardless of the region. This type of breakfast is usually light and unpretentious. It necessarily contains a hot drink (tea, coffee), fresh pastries, butter, jam, corn flakes. Some hotels prefer an extended continental breakfast with the inclusion of eggs, sausages and cheese in the menu.

If the BB food in your hotel provides an English breakfast, it means that it will not be very diverse, but high-calorie. It includes products whose range is strictly maintained for centuries. Traditionally, this breakfast consists of fried sausages, bacon, champignons, fresh or canned tomatoes, scrambled eggs, white beans in tomato and toast with butter. All products must be stacked in one order in a certain order. Also served coffee, tea with milk, orange juice.

BB food as an American breakfast is based on the taste preferences of Americans. The offered dishes are plentiful and simple. Typically, it is scrambled eggs, home-made fried potatoes or potato balls, pancakes, wafers in syrup, dry flakes, muffins and toasts. The main dishes are complemented with vegetables and fruits. As drinks, orange juice and coffee are obligatory.

Now the most popular type of breakfast is a "buffet", in which holidaymakers themselves are typing food from the proposed range. In hotels of different classes the choice of dishes and drinks is radically different.

Some hotels arrange additional late breakfasts, served on the principle of a buffet. Those who want to have a snack are offered cold snacks, desserts, pastries, hot and cold drinks.

Most high-class hotels do not stick to a certain type of breakfast and surprise with a rich and varied menu. This is especially true for the countries of South-East Asia and small island states. Breakfasts at their hotels have a huge selection of dishes, including vegetable and fruit salads, soups, several sorts of cheese, hams, hot meat dishes, fish and side dishes to them. In addition, there must be fruit for the season and freshly squeezed juices. Absolute majority of holidaymakers in these countries choose BB food, as the presence in the resort area of a huge number of restaurants with excellent cuisine and incredibly low prices.
