And you wonder what can be seen in the telescope?

Who did not sweep the boundless dark sky, strewn with a myriad of golden points, merged into a golden heavenly carpet? Being children, who among us did not think about what you can see in the telescope? Maybe a new star passing by a comet or a flying saucer?

Many since childhood have retained their love for the secrets of the sky and planets, and, being adults, are either actively engaged in the study of the starry sky, watching what is happening in a home telescope, or watching scientific discoveries in this area.

Asking a question about what can be seen in a telescope, the counter question arises about what you want to see?

After all, it is the telescope that determines the picture that can open to our eye. The most important in choosing this device is the size of the lens - the larger it is, the farther you can look into the depths of space. So, for a beginner, enough lenses and 70 mm, but the professional is not enough and 150 mm.

When choosing a telescope, it will be important to decide for what purposes it is needed, whether you will be satisfied with observing only the planets or if you aim the entire galaxy as a whole, or maybe you need to kill two birds with one stone: see what is going on in the sky and on the ground?

After the choice is made in favor of this or that device, the question of what can be seen in the telescope becomes more insistent and it is unlikely that for someone the approach of the night will be desirable than to the new owner of the "heavenly eye".

It should immediately be noted that the amazing pictures with a vortex-like cluster of stars, detailed craters of the moon and the burning sunlight that are so widely represented in the photographs, you will not see, since they are made with the help of either space ships or super-powerful devices, such as a telescope Kepler.

Also important is the location of the telescope, because what you can see in the city and away from it - two big differences. The farther away the device is from the city glow, the more clear and unlighted the picture will appear before your eyes.

How to begin your study of the starry sky? From the Moon. She can be given credit not only for her beauty, but also for the influence that she exerts on the whole planet. Setting up the correct equipment, you can see the craters, mountains, crevices and furrows, which dotted the satellite of our Earth. The best observation time is not the full moon, but on the contrary, its small phases, it is then very good to observe the shadows cast from the craters and other irregularities of the planet.

The second object of the solar system, for which it is possible to observe with pleasure and interest is the Sun. But here you should be very careful and in no case forget about eye protection and sunscreen lenses. Among astronomers there is such a joke "on the Sun you can look only two times in life: first with one eye, then with another."

The first thing you can see in a telescope is sunspots. Sometimes they are many, sometimes not very, and also they have a different form on different days, since they have the property of changing. Systematically observing the "life" on the Sun, you can see that all the spots are collected in so-called families: each has two large spots and a few small ones.

The rest of the planets will not be so clearly considered, unfortunately, in most home telescopes they are the size of a pea. Although if you know what to look for, even a "pea" can be censored for more than one hour.

So, for example, watching Jupiter, the first thing that catches your eye is its absolutely non-circular look. The planet looks oblate. Also on its background you can see four faithful satellites of Jupiter passing around its axis, getting them into the shadow of the planet, and if the lenses of your telescope are more than 10 cm, you can even see a red spot that is a big whirlwind.
