Alexey Ivanov, writer: biography, creativity

Alexei Ivanov is a famous Russian writer. Glory to him came in the early 2000's after the release of the novel "The Geographer Globe Drunk." Later in the film adaptation of the same name, which also won success, the main role was played by Konstantin Khabensky. Today, this is one of the most notable and significant authors in contemporary Russian literature.

Childhood and youth

Alexey Ivanov was born in Nizhny Novgorod in 1969. Then the city was still called Gorky. In the early 70's his parents moved to Perm. As he himself admits, he dreamed of becoming a writer since childhood.

In 1987, he entered the Urals State University in Sverdlovsk at the Faculty of Journalism. However, after studying for a year, Alexei realized that this was not his.

And in 1990 he entered the same university, but already at the Faculty of Art History, deciding to get the most versatile education. However, it was unrealistic to work as an art historian and receive a decent salary in Russia in the early 1990s. Therefore, after graduation Ivanov changed a dozen professions. He was a teacher, a watchman, a guide. Many of them are then reflected in his works.

First novels

In the late 80's, Ivanov began to realize the dream of a writer's career. His first published work was a fantastic novel "The Hunt for the Great Bear". She saw the light in the magazine "The Ural Pathfinder", but a famous Soviet science fiction writer Vitaly Bugrov discovered the way to great literature before the beginning author.

However, soon Ivanov moved away from fantasy, choosing another literary direction - realism. In the early 90's he began to write actively. First, Ivanov finished the novel "Dorm-on-the-Blood," largely autobiographical, narrating about the author's life in the hostel of the Ural State University. Then he wrote one of the most famous of his works, "Geographer globe drunk," about the unfortunate teacher Viktor Ivanovich Sluzhkin. And in 2000 Alexey finished the historical novel "The Heart of Parma", which tells about the accession of Perm to the Moscow principality in the 15th century. True, these books were written on the table. At best, it was possible to publish excerpts in literary journals. The first book of Alexei Ivanov was published only in 2003.

"The geographer globed the globe"

Alexei Ivanov is a writer whose biography became of interest to many after the publication of the novel Geograf globus propyl. The protagonist is Viktor Ivanovich Sluzhkin, who is not working well for a school as a teacher, not having a pedagogical education, but having a deep everyday experience. His behavior at work and relations with schoolchildren are shocking to many, all this causes a lot of controversy and disagreement.

Alexei Ivanov is a writer who actively communicates with his readers. He notes on his website that Sluzhkin is not a buffoon, a loser or a loser. From Russian literature, the image of Prince Myshkin from the "Idiot" of Dostoevsky is closest to him . This is a person who wants to live as a saint, preserving the "living soul". At the time when the student falls in Sluzhkina, this work turns into a novel about perseverance and moral values. They are much more important to the main character than money and fame.

Success in cinema and theater

Ivanov Alexey Viktorovich is a writer whose works are often staged on stage and transferred to the big screen. The most famous film adaptation is the film "The Geographer Globe Drunk" in 2013. The main role in it was performed by Konstantin Khabensky. Filming took place in the Perm region and Moscow.

The film premiered in Sochi at the Kinotavr festival. The painting won the Grand Prix, the prize for the best male role, the best music and a special prize from the jury of film distributors. "Geographer" visited another fifteen festivals, becoming one of the most important events in the Russian film distribution of that year. Alexei Ivanov himself, a writer who did not take part in the work on the script, noted that the film turned out to be very lively. Of course, the plot lost something when moving into another art form, but also acquired a lot.

"Heart of Parma"

Alexei Ivanov is a writer who created one of the most notable novels about the history of the Perm region. And his work turned out to be both interesting to the mass reader and to the professional historian, since all the dates and facts in it were carefully verified.

"Heart of Parma" was the first published book, it was after its release that Alexei Ivanov (writer) became known to a wide range of readers. The novel is divided into 4 parts, in which the chronology from the creation of the world is kept, as was the case in Russia in the 15th century.

The plot was based on real historical events that took place in the second half of the 15th century. The novel describes the campaign of Prince Ermolai to Perm, organized by the Moscow prince Vasily the Dark.

Last works

Despite the fact that Alexei Ivanov is a writer whose photo is regularly adorned with the first pages of literary magazines, he continues to work fruitfully. His latest novel, "Hopelessness," was released in 2015. This is the story of a veteran of the Afghan war, who could not find a place in the life of modern Russia.

At the same time Ivanov works a lot in the genre of documentary prose. His illustrated book "The Ridge of Russia", dedicated to the Ural Mountains, was later screened with Leonid Parfenov. The last work from this cycle - "Yorg" - is a documentary story about Yekaterinburg after the collapse of the Soviet Union and to the present day.

Alexei Ivanov is a writer whose personal life is not advertised, and little is known about the family. Therefore, his preferences and individual characteristics of the admirers of talent remains to be learned from his works, most of which are autobiographical.
