Alexey Frolov: biography and creativity

There are several musicians who for a long time remain in the shadows. Alexey Frolov from among them. His songs were sung by Petliura, he participated in the group "Red Mold" and in his own project Condor, but the glory came to him relatively recently. All his life, Alexey dedicated music and his self-improvement in art.

Childhood

Most of the childhood Alexey Frolov spent in Simferopol. There he enrolled in a music school, but dropped it in three years. The reason for this was not laziness, but a desire to study other musical instruments. Education for piano for Alexei was not enough. He mastered the guitar, drums and bass.
Like many children, Alexei and his friends listened to the band "Gaza Strip" and dreamed of writing songs themselves. In this they were very successful when they created their own team. Initially, he was a group of guys who play acoustic guitars.

Condor

The name of the group was given the nickname that Alexey Frolov wore at school. For five years, the guys were fighting for their equipment, among which was an old Oreanda-3 tape recorder, on which the first tracks were recorded. In those days, finding equipment was hard work, so the guys were very upset when the studio was hacked and taken out everything that was needed for sound recording.

After the service in the army, Alexei Frolov again assembled the group, bought the necessary instruments and began to actively record the compositions. Worked in the studio musicians sessional, for three or four days twice a month.

Cooperation with the group "Red Mold"

Creativity Alexei noticed the producers of the group "Red Mold". They selected 10 songs for themselves, some of which were arranged for use by the collective, and the other three were taken by Victor Petliura. Later, when the band stopped attending the studio, Alexei recorded songs alone. In 2015, Alexander Gortovin suggested collecting all the surviving songs and releasing them under the name "Alexey Frolov". The discography of the musician began to consist of several albums, which were decorated as studio albums. Some songs in them survived remastering.
