Jourdain comes Dorimena and Dorant. The count himself is in love with the Marquise and all the presents, he attributed luxury to himself. Now she understands where her husband's money went. She rebukes Dorant that he is on the brink of Jourdain. The count says that it was he who spent everything. The insulted Dorimena leaves. The couple continue to swear. At this moment comes Koviel, the disguised servant of Cleonte. He is an old friend of Jourdain's father and reports that he was a nobleman. Of course, the petty bourgeois on this hook got caught. He is delighted with being a hereditary nobleman, and hurries to announce this news to everyone.
