A non-pedigree dog (mongrels and mestizos): character, training

A dog accompanies a person for not one hundred years. Efforts of breeders were created a great variety of different breeds, which differ in body structure, color, length of hair, temperament and purpose. Some are huge, others can be carried in your pocket. But there is another species - mongrel dogs, or so-called poochs. They do not have a pedigree and documents, but they know how to love, be faithful and faithfully serve the master no worse than the titled relatives.

Who are the mongrels

This is the most numerous detachment, whose representatives are called "complex polyhybrid", and people call them mongrels. Pedigree dogs are removed for decades, collecting in each offspring the best qualities. For some, flair is paramount, for others strength and endurance. Any puppy from a thoroughbred dog is predictable - it is always known in advance what will grow from it. For example, Spaniels can be born only spaniel, and not any other breed.

Puppy puppies are the result of free crossbreeding, so neither appearance nor character features are fixed at the genetic level. A charming and intelligent dog can grow out of a small fluffy lump, although it is possible that such things will not justify expectations, either by external qualities or by her own mind. This, however, happens very rarely. Most mongrels do not trade their pet for any, even the most beautiful thoroughbred, dog. It is very difficult to classify the dog-mongrels, they are so diverse.

Mestizo

This is another kind of a large detachment called the "mongrel dog." They are a mixture of different breeds, and possibly in several generations. Often it happens randomly, but sometimes it's planned. Having received from their parents all the best, the mestizos are distinguished by excellent health. As a rule, they do not have genetic diseases. But the character is not always ideal. It is difficult to predict what traits the puppy will inherit from his parents. Small, mongrel dogs often show aggression towards children and animals. With large-sized crossbreeds, there may be difficulties in management and training.

Nevertheless, such dogs are in demand among people who can not afford, for financial reasons, the purchase of a thoroughbred puppy. The price of Métis is much lower, and sometimes a non-thoroughbred puppy can be obtained as a gift. Recently, the labrador's mestizo, obtained from crossing with a poodle, is becoming very popular. He was removed specially and even got his own name - Labradudl. This is an excellent guide, able to work even with disabled people who have special difficulties. Labradudl is suitable not only for people with disabilities, but also for those who suffer from allergies to animal hair. These dogs are excellent nannies, so they are happy to take families with children.

It is not uncommon today and the Labrador's mestizo, obtained by crossing a dog of this breed with a German shepherd, with a husky, with shar pei. Having inherited the best qualities, such dogs also have a very unusual appearance.

The nature of the nonbreeding dog

Rare breeds of dogs are distinguished by the same sociability and playfulness as mongrels. Zoopsiologists say that the latter have virtually no aggression towards their fellow human beings. A non-native dog treats strangers with a great deal of mistrust. Sometimes she may show some tension with children, but this does not mean that the mongrel is more dangerous than purebred dogs. In terms of aggressiveness, it is much inferior to German and Caucasian sheepdogs, Rottweilers and black terriers.

Working qualities and training

On the ability to learn the dog's thoroughbred undoubtedly has a positive effect. Purebred shepherd, boxer or rizenschnauzer much more quickly learn new commands than a mongrel dog. But, despite this, most owners of the mongrels are quite satisfied with the behavior of their pets at the training site. These dogs are not badly trained, and they also learn the rules and norms of behavior well.

It is possible that in most cases the mongrels are inferior to thoroughbred brothers in some working qualities, such as an acute nose, discipline, etc. But it is not uncommon when a mongrel excellently shows himself as a service dog. She can be a reliable guard or watchman, in no way inferior to a thoroughbred dog.

Health

In health issues, the mongrels have significant advantages over purebred dogs. They are less susceptible to a number of diseases inherent in a particular breed. Their immunity is more stable. A non-pedigree dog easily tolerates temperature changes and unfavorable weather conditions. In the conditions of the street, where there is a hard screening and the strongest survive, the mongrels have sufficient strong health.

Advantages of mongrels

People who want to acquire a reliable friend and companion for themselves, mongrels like, and in some respects they even surpass thoroughbred dogs:

  • They rarely suffer from hereditary diseases. Puppies pooch, born on the street, almost all survive.
  • The Dwarves are good at training. They do not have a built-in scheme with fixed instincts, like in purebred dogs.
  • Inbred dogs are endurance and unpretentious in eating.
  • They are unique - it is difficult to find two identical mongrels.
  • The devotion of these dogs to their master knows no bounds. Until the last days they will adore him, expressing a great feeling of love and affection.
  • In the role of a watchman or a guard, the mongrel is in no way inferior to thoroughbred dogs.

Of course, in turn, each individual dog has its own certain advantages and disadvantages.

Clubs of Breeding Dogs

Today, more and more organizations and clubs are helping the owners of mongrel dogs to properly educate their pet. Specialists conduct general courses on training, obedience, watchdog and trace work. An excellent opportunity to show your unique favorite to the public is the exhibition of mongrel dogs, which has already become a familiar event in both large and small cities of our country.

It does not really matter which breed the dog has when you see his faithful look and willingness to perform any team. And bad and good dogs, like people, meet, no matter what titles and titles their ancestors have.
