Previously, the first Zhdanov lake was called Ozeritskoye by the village of the same name, located nearby, or Simonovo. But the second reservoir bore the name of a local resident of Geyfel. He was engaged in charity, built a road and schools. Therefore, you can often hear the name Kefelevskoe Lake, but the maps often show the hydronome Andronovo. The most common yet (unofficial) is the name "Zhdanov Lake 2".

The shoreline of the lakes is represented by sandy beaches, which were formed thanks to Zhdanov AA, who ordered to get the Black Sea sand, as they say, from Pitsunda itself. This resulted in a gentle descent into the water, which is safe for bathing even of children.

Zhdanov Lake is located in the forest, which is represented by various species of trees, beginning with bush plants and ending with age-old pines. Thanks to this, the air here is the cleanest, and in most places - the beauty of untouched nature.

The area is not flat, but is represented by small gentle hills, which are completely covered with vegetation. Often there are pine, larch, broad-leaved trees, as well as hazel. Here, a huge number of various herbs are germinating, ranging from curative to rare species listed in the Red Book.
