Why is it so important to install water meters?

Each of us rather unpleasantly perceives information related to the increase in prices for the goods and services we need. I think we should not paint what emotions fill each of us when it becomes known that the payment for utilities should rise again. And here there are thoughts, and are there any ways to save costs for utilities? The utilities themselves are composed of the cost of heating, the cost of used water, electricity, gas. Accordingly, to save the cost of paying for each of them, we begin to implement certain measures. For example, to save energy, the old familiar bulbs for fluorescent lamps first of all change . As for water, one of the direct ways to save water costs is to install water meters.

But in most people the question arises, what is the point of installing the counter, if you need to spend additional funds on it. And these funds are quite considerable. I think that many people can agree with this opinion. But ... First of all, the counter only counts the water you used, and accordingly, you pay only for it. In this case, you do not pay for the fact that someone once poured flowers on the flowerbed near the house, or someone likes not to close the tap for a long time, or someone's tap is always leaking. Secondly, paying only for the water you have consumed, during the first six months you pay for the cost of the meter. Therefore installation of water meters is necessary.

So, if you do not have a water meter yet, then the question arises of what kind of meter to purchase. After all, there are a lot of meters for water and if you enter the query "water meters" in the Google or Yandex search system, you can simply get lost in the entire assortment variety of these devices.

So, what kinds of counters are there, and what kind of people give preference to them? On the market today there are counters of four types: ultrasonic, electromagnetic, vortical and tachometric. The most accurate of them are vortex and ultrasonic. But the prices for them strongly bite. They are often used in large enterprises, whose owners consider all expenses to be a penny. Most people buy tachometric meters. They have a very simple mechanism for measuring the amount of water consumed, they do not need electricity when performing measurements and therefore are the cheapest.

How do they work, and what kinds do they have? Many people know that the main element of tachometric meters is an impeller or a turbine. Depending on this element, wings and turbine water meters are manufactured today. The principle of the meter is that through it passes water, which directly contacts the impeller or turbine and causes pressure on the elements mentioned. Since these elements are attached only on one axis, they rotate depending on the speed and pressure of the water flow. As a result, water passes through the counter and simultaneously turns the impeller. Depending on the diameter of the meter, one turn of the impeller is responsible for a certain amount of water flowing through the meter.

In most homes it is necessary to install water meters for hot water and cold water. The cold water counter in its name has the letter "X" and it works correctly at a water temperature of no higher than 40 ° C, and the hot water meter has a "G" mark and is designed for water measurement, the maximum temperature of which can be 90 ° C.
