White datura: growing from seeds
When the street is still freezing and cold, inveterate gardeners are already stocked with plant seeds, planning what and where this year will grow in the garden. Most people prefer annuals, which allow each time to create a new kind of flower garden, to update it and to saturate it with bright colors, Datura is not the last place among such plants. Growing out of the seeds of this overseas visitor does not cause any special difficulties, so the plant has taken root in our gardens.
Datura differs in good germination, as the planting material retains its vitality for decades, but nevertheless it needs some care. After emergence of seedlings, boxes with seedlings are transferred to a cool, but well-lit place. As soon as the seedlings grow up a bit, you can start picking. Capacities for flowers are needed not too small, since the plant has a massive root system and rapidly increases in size.
Cultivation from seeds allows you to renew your flower garden every year and admire the luxurious white and fragrant flowers. True, you can enjoy the charming and delicate smell of flowers only late at night, at night or early in the morning, during the day they either dry up or bloom, but the smell is not the same. The plant is quite unpretentious, although it responds very nicely to the feeding. Calmly growing on any land, sunlight and regular watering - this is all that the datura requires.
Datura was grown by people for more than one millennium. Initially, it was not used at all as a decor for a flower garden (in fact this culture has medicinal properties). Therefore, the flower was actively used (and is now applied) in folk medicine. His help was used by shamans, using it in magical and religious rites, so that the datura contains many unknown mysteries and secrets. And we can decorate with this magic plant our personal plots, admire its beauty and inhale a stupefying aroma.
