What should be the allocation before menstruation in women?

Unpleasant sensations before menstruation arise in almost every woman - pain in the abdomen and lower back, an increase with hypersensitivity of the mammary glands, mood swings and many other things. Changes in discharge immediately before the onset of menstruation - this is a common phenomenon that occurs in all women. But what is this, a pathology or a norm, can only be determined by a gynecologist.

Any allocation, other than menstrual, is also called leucorrhoea, they can vary in number depending on the day of the female cycle. This is a consequence of hormonal changes that occur, for example, in the middle of the cycle, with ovulation. In the period of egg release the secretions are very similar to egg white, and already immediately before menstruation change their consistency.

What should be normal discharge before menstruation in women?

Hormonal changes, and to be precise, a drop in the level of progesterone and an increase in estrogen, lead to the fact that gynecological discharge of the second half of the cycle acquires a certain unusuality. The hormonal background changes the composition of the vaginal microflora (gram-negative rods predominate), which is responsible for the nature of the discharge. Before the onset of menstruation, the vaginal whiteness becomes a creamy consistency or looks like a kissel, and their color is white or slightly unclear, sometimes with a yellowish tinge.

In some women, at the end of the second half of the cycle, the secretions become more dense and viscous. Normal are considered vaginal discharge without smell and those that do not cause unpleasant sensations in a woman (itching and burning). The number of such secretions is markedly increased on the eve of the month. Thus the woman can feel excessive humidity of sexual labiums.

If there are bloody discharge before the menstrual two days before it, then this is also considered the norm. And the appearance of scarlet secretions three to four days before menstruation is already considered a pathology. Changes in vaginal discharge may not occur, for example, one of the reasons for this may be a woman taking oral contraceptives.
