What is the electrical safety group?

In accordance with the current safety regulations, personnel who must work with various electrical equipment must undergo proper training, as well as pass a knowledge test, for which special commissions are organized. After that, the student will be issued a certificate in which the group assigned to him for electrical safety. Only after these events at the enterprise is issued an order to admit the employee to work independently with a specific electrical equipment that needs maintenance.

The Electrical Safety Group is a list of qualification requirements that divide the electrical personnel into the appropriate groups of persons, as a result of which responsibility measures and responsibilities are determined when working with the company's electric power.

These ranks are determined not only by the minimum length of service with this equipment, but also by the nature of the education (higher or secondary, technical or humanitarian, etc.), as well as knowledge and skills gained during the work.

The general name of the "electrical safety group" includes 5 categories:

1 group does not require any specialized training and can be assigned to any non-electrical personnel. This process is carried out after the introductory and initial briefings and subsequent oral interrogation. The first group on electrical safety is assigned to any employee of the enterprise who has basic knowledge of the dangers of working with electric current, as well as about the provision of first aid to a person who has suffered from his action.

2, the electrical safety group makes the following requirements for non-electrical personnel:

1. The idea of the danger of touching current-carrying parts and the effect of electric current in general.

2. The idea of the installation.

3. Knowledge of safety when working with this equipment and precautions.

4. Ability to provide first aid to the victim.

5. The employee must be of legal age.

This group allows non-electrical personnel to service electrical installations under the supervision of persons responsible for electrical safety.
