We expect a maternity allowance, based on changes in 2012

Every woman planning a pregnancy starts to worry about a lot of different questions: how will the pregnancy take place, will the baby be healthy, when it is necessary to see a doctor and how to tell your boss about it.

Of course, only with the onset of pregnancy women begin to think about their rights, which assume the transition to easy work, release from harmful factors and reduce the load. Many already know about the changes in 2011. Nevertheless let's stop on them and we will consider how to calculate the maternity allowance to the woman who received the sick leave.

The decree is calculated on the basis of average earnings two years before the expected leave. Before calculating it is necessary to clarify that the maximum amount of accruals on payments for the entire period should not exceed 415 thousand rubles. (The value is constantly indexed).

Example. Let's look at an example that will help you calculate this value. Determine the amount of salary you received for 2 years (conditional - 2010 and 2011 gg.). We add up the wage chamber for all months after deduction of vacation and hospital payments. For example, 200 000 + 120 000 = 320 000 rubles.

  1. We find the sum of the average earnings - 320,000: 730 = 438.35 rubles. It should be noted that the value of 730 is the number of calendar days in 2 years.
  2. We find a maternity allowance. The amount of average earnings is multiplied by the number of days on the sick-list. If this is a single-fetal pregnancy, the calculation is performed for 140 days, if multiple, then 194 days. So, 438.35 x 140 = 61 639.86 rubles. In the case of complications arising during delivery (caesarean section or laparotomy), the woman is prolonged the sick leave for 16 calendar days.

If your earnings do not exceed the minimum wage (at the moment it is 4611 rubles), then the calculation of the maternity allowance is based on this amount.

  1. Average earnings - (4611х24): 730 = 151.59 rubles.
  2. The amount of the maternity allowance is 151.59x140 = 21,223 rubles.

The decree allowance for the whole period is paid in 100% volume, regardless of the length of service. And, the experience should be not less than 6 months.

How is the maternity allowance paid to women with transitional maternity leave (from decree to decree)? The calculation is carried out in the same way as shown above. However, the data for calculating benefits are taken from the previously worked out time. For example, if you went on maternity leave in 2010 and are on parental leave. In 2012, once again going to the decree, then in the billing period includes 2010 and 2009, since the replacement of not fully worked-out year, in connection with the hospital sheet for pregnancy, is prohibited.

In addition to the payment of a maternity allowance in 2012, a single payment of 465 rubles is due to future mothers who are registered in the early stages of pregnancy (the law clearly states - no later than 12 weeks). 20 kop. To obtain it, a pregnant woman must submit a certificate of employment issued by a medical institution. Usually such a document women receive along with the sick leave.

In addition, women should be paid a lump sum of 12,405, 30 rubles. (The size of the benefit from 01.01.2012, without taking into account district coefficients). It is paid after the birth of the child. To receive it, you must submit to the accounts department an application for the grant of benefits, a certificate of birth of your child, an extract from the workbook, a copy of the passport, a certificate from the registry office and from the place of work of the spouse.

It is worth noting that women can choose their own until 31.12. 2012, according to what rules ("old" or "new") will be calculated maternity allowance.
