Trade mark-up in retail trade. Problems in retail trade

Retail trade is the foundation for the entrepreneurial and economic activity of the state, this is the link in the distribution of goods. Dynamic development of retail trade is monitored by professionals in different fields, this is a very important indicator of the development of the economy, the country and the whole society. The retail mark-up in retail trade is one of the constituent parts of the price of the commodity for which it will be sold. It is through the implementation of this concept that all expenses for sales and indirect taxes are covered. The trading margin directly tells us about the profit that we can get from selling a particular product, as well as covering the costs arising from the sale of products. In more detail it is necessary to talk about the development of retail trade, as it is inseparably linked with the original concept of retail trade.

The development of retail trade in Russia contributes to the entrepreneurial activity of the population, the effectiveness of programs for monitoring small businesses, this is an excellent opportunity to change the consumer income of the population.

For several years, retail turnover has been growing steadily. In general, the turnover of retail trade, which falls on food and non-food assets, is kept. Any food product, as well as a commodity of daily demand, has a limited growth limit if there is a mark-up in retail trade for luxury goods, as opposed to a product that enjoys a special demand and a preliminary choice. Even if we take into account the growth of indicators, we can observe a certain decrease in the growth of retail trade in the market.

This trend is fully justified, retail trade is gaining more and more civilized features. Today, huge supermarket chains, large shopping centers, which lead retail and small wholesale trade, have become a big force in the market, so the retail mark-up in retail trade can be increased. In general, the income of the population in major cities and the capital is increasing, so that prices are not always determinative in determining where a particular purchase will be made, now shopping places with an increased level of comfort and service are increasingly preferred. Renting commercial premises in many cases is far from low cost, so the retail mark-up in retail trade is an inevitable and logical method. Some shops and shopping centers conduct successful trade, receiving from their suppliers substantial discounts due to large volumes of products. Despite the positive development of retail trade, there are problems such as a lack of retail space.

The problem is most acute in Moscow, even today it is extremely difficult to find a suitable premise even for a small retail outlet. This, if you do not talk about large shopping complexes and supermarkets that have found their shelter along the city's large thoroughfares, such a choice of a shopping place is obvious. The land along the roads and highways does not refer to Moscow, but to the Moscow region, so the cost of buying a place will be much cheaper, as well as the registration of documents. Therefore, in such shopping centers you can earn more, especially if you take into account that the retail mark-up in retail trade will necessarily be present. If a place for a retail outlet is found, then the rent will in most cases be so large that it can simply not justify the cost price. This applies to retail outlets in the central region of Moscow, St. Petersburg and other large cities. For small retail outlets, adequate rent, the cost of taxes and other costs are very important, because the revenue of such trading places is not great. Today, it is difficult to keep a retail outlet because of the bureaucracy, especially in large cities and the capital of the country, flows of foreign investors have poured in, who consider the development of their business in Russia to be affordable and attractive.

Thus, a trading surcharge is formed in retail trade.
