Touja disease and ways to treat plants

Thuya is a beautiful ornamental plant. It got its distribution due to the fact that it can be cut, creating beautiful figures of foliage. However, any Tuya disease can instantly destroy everything that the gardener made of it. Despite the fact that this small tree is rather unpretentious to the owner's care, and also to planting, there are many pests that are always in a hurry to eat a beautiful plant. Here, the most popular diseases of thuja, as well as methods of combating them and prevention will be considered.

So, the most common disease not only in the tree under consideration, but also in many others, is in brown shoots. In early spring, when young sprouts of the tree only begin to appear, they acquire a brownish hue. This means that your thuja has earned itself a fungal disease. Such shoots should be immediately removed so that the disease does not spread. For prevention, ordinary limestone is used, it is digested to the root system. In addition, the preparation "Fundazol", diluted in a concentration of 0.2 percent, works well. They should spray the tree every two weeks until October. However, if it was possible to remove shoots and get rid of the disease, then this operation is not at all necessary.

The next common disease of thuja is called a false-shank. It consists in the fact that on the trunk of the plant small yellow ulcers are formed, which will grow, if not start certain treatment. Here they help "Carbophos", "Actellik" or "Rogor". It should be noted that these same drugs are used when your aphids are attacked by aphids. These are small insects of gray or brown color. When their colony sprouts, they are covered with silvery dust, similar to wax. As a result of the attack of aphids, the foliage of the plant turns yellow and subsequently falls down.

Another disease of thuia is manifested in the fact that the top of the tree begins to turn yellow, the leaves fall off, and the plant gradually dies. In this case, you do not observe any ulcers on the trunk or blanching shoots. In addition, the aphids did not attack your thuja. Sometimes this happens, and this is the result of poor care. The fact is that the root system performs several functions. One of them is to deliver various nutrients from under the ground to the trunk and crown of the plant. If the thuja perishes - this function is broken. This can happen for two reasons. In the first case, the disease is manifested due to the fact that its root system began to rot. This happens when the groundwater rises high and supplies a certain amount of moisture. The owner, of course, does not even suspect this and additionally water the plant. There is rotting of the root system due to excess moisture. In the second case, the disease is due to a fungal disease, which was described at the beginning of the article. And the methods of dealing with it are appropriate.

Tuya danica is more often exposed to various diseases, because it is the most popular among the other species of this plant. Despite the fact that it is a hardy tree, fungi and pests can lead to its death. Therefore, do not delay the treatment if the disease has already overtaken. And ideally - better to carry out prevention.
